Has happened to me at least three times, always when battling Peter Pettigrew, usually when he gets to the end of his health (100 or less). Encounter just abruptly quits, no error message, no rewards.
The errors happening with this event are even worse than the ones with the last BE. This will be first time I can’t complete an event and it will be solely based on the game being broken, I guess I understand now why the game is ending
Same on Android. Besides the really pitiful damage ratios, the game routinely boots me out when it gets to Pettigrew. I've pretty much given up on this challenge as it's using up a ton of potions and you can only battle 2 of the 4 adversaries.
Surprise surprise… after being completely unable to participate in the last challenge I’m kicked out of every lethal adversary encounter. Bummer to be done with this game 2 months before the end.
It didn't happen to me, but it happened to my husband Mizark007 during Barty Crouch Jr. He was also kicked out of another adversary but the game gave him the option to resume the encounter.
Hi. It has happened to me 5 times today that in the middle of the fight with Barty Crouch the game restarts and I loose both the chance to defeat him and the potions I have used (at least 3 Portent and 3 Wit in each occurrence)
Fight is already challenging to deal with this on top of it
Yep;. I've seen a whopping 3 Lethal chains so far, and all 3 I've gotten kicked out of. One on the second guard, 2 on Pettigrew. I'd file a support ticket to get all the potions back, but even before they announced game end I expect that wouldn't have been resolved well. Now I know it won't.
And they killed the Brilliant Event extension for this.
...but I've used at least 50 potions in the attempt.
Just once, Niantic, could you please not ruin an event with your bugs?
It's ridiculous we're all getting kicked out of the adversary chain before completion. No one will be able to complete part 2 of the tasks before the event is over if this continues.
I’m getting kicked out of the adversary chain when I go to use maybe the 3rd potion. So I’m burning through potions and energy and still haven’t returned any fragments because it just boots me out. The adversary chains are also too strong so there’s not enough energy or potions to sustain a fight.

I have been kicked out once from Pettigrew (3rd foe), 2 times from death eater (2nd foe) and once from the prisoner (1st foe). I had not been activating potions or anything, I just suddenly ended up on the map (so there was no error message). Really frustrating. One of those times happened to a spawn from EDM, others were wild encounters.
As I have been kicked only once from the 1st foe (and even that foe is really difficult to win, I can hit the maxima target usually maybe on 5th try...) I don't even bother to try fight against the rest... I just take the gold reward.

Too many potions and dark marks used to find the few lethal. soon after the game errors out and I have to restart. Very disappointing for sure. I enjoy playing the game and hope to complete this event but without being able to engage barty I will not be able to.
2 of the last 3 battles, I got booted just before defeating Barty on the first one, and booted out after defeating Peter on the 3rd one. I was on wifi for the first one and data for the others. At least I got to defeat Barty on the 2nd of the 3 battles.
Same. Has happened to me twice. I was booted out of the battle with Barty, with only a few spell casts before defeating him. So frustrating to use all those potions and spells, and not get the opportunity to finish and collect the rewards!
I got kicked out of the first level Azkaban escapee probably 6 times. Would let me back in made it through the death eater w/o being kicked out and then got kicked from PP but encounter was gone and couldn’t finish. Cost lots of energy and potions

3 different lethal adversary, 3 times kick out at Peter stage, wasted alot of wits,potent and health pots. Please fix!
Same here. Went through the Barty chain until getting to Peter Pettigrew, then the system just threw me out halfway through the fight with no warning.
Blew a huge pile of potions and energy and even gold getting more energy for the big fight.
