Where are the Buckbeaks?? Have used many TTDs but zero Buckbeak trace. The trace is already a rare encounter so thought it would be boosted during the BE but wasn't as I thought. HPWU could you finish up the Buckbeak task for me cos dun think there would be any impact even if I keep putting up TTDs. Thanks.
Suspect I am not alone? With each new glitch with each update of the game, as the old glitches do not get fixed, with Niantic’s overdone schedule of back-to-back-to-back events burning out those dedicated, to events that are near impossible to complete in an enjoyable time, I see myself fading further away from the joys of the game. The vast majority of my ‘friends’ no longer sharing gifts, an indicator they are no longer playing, and only a handful still at it. It has been a long-time brewing, witnessing the lack of attempt to fix old glitches, or the ridiculous requirements in events (Masterfuls, really Niantic? Alienating the physically challenged.) The straw breaking the camels back is Buckbeak. It sucked all my Trace Charms to get the executioner completed, and I’ve been sitting just needing Buckbeak for days now. Only achieved one yesterday, and the lone Trace Charm I had wouldn’t work. If these twists in ‘challenges’ are meant to be challenges, they are becoming life sucks without reward of achievement instead of a fun challenge. In the past, I finished every event, had time to spare, enjoyed the rush, the celebration, the achievement. Had time to brew more potions before the next. Now when an event comes around it is more like ‘egads, not another one’ along with ‘what glitches will this event bring’ and then a ‘how many near impossible requirements will be required for *this* one?’ I should have hit 65* XP for this event, but all day yesterday I kept repeating going from Level 64 to level 65, only for the more Brilliant XP to tally and backtrack and repeat being in level 64 going to level 65 again. I had to do 5 more portkeys to break the glitch to finally reach 65*. Days now of only needing Buckbeak to finish, only having five, then up popped a glitch of Trace Charms not working, with only two days to go, the chances of completing are nil with Buckbeak only being a once a day Trace. And how many potions were used to not finish this event? I shudder at the thought. Will follow a slow fade-out, I once loved and marveled at the creativity and ingenuity, but chronic glitches and impossible challenges supersede. Good ole lovable Buckbeak, riding on his back out of Hogwarts, who knew he’d be the straw that broke the hippogriff’s back? Been playing since it was released a few days before the scheduled release date. I suspect I am not alone in my mourning.
Does anyone find new players in their area attracted to the game? All I see is a decline, and a game players that have been on since launch have to convince themselves daily to continue. The content creators are **** away at their existing base with events that cannot be completed no matter how much resources you throw at it. It has begun to feel like a full time chore, one that is difficult if not impossible to completeand the cycle is just happening over and over. Players like Elizabeth, who is part of a huge on line community that shares her frustrations at a game they want to enjoy again.
I walked 10k today and found 5 Buckbeak in the wild. I know some are having difficulty, but the occurrences are definitely boosted. I'm guessing those having issues are not in high spawn areas? I know a lot of people complain about bugs, but if you really look at the game and how it has progressed, many have been fixed, even if new ones have been introduced. Yes, significant issues remain, like with Adventure Synch for Android, but there is progress against the bug list. So while there is plenty of room for griping about what's wrong, there isn't much credit given for what's right, and most of it is right.
@Not4u13 i think my problem with spawn rates is that I haven’t changed the way that I play the game and I used to be able to finish without using multiple TTD every event. In the beginning I didn’t use them at all. And now its a struggle unless I use one pretty much at every stage. I was in areas that are my typical go-to places when I need high spawn rate and it still took me several days just to get executioners. Not looking forward to buckbeak.
I haven’t had as many of the glitches that others have but it just isn’t as fun of a game anymore. It’s frustrating that they seem to want us to pay to play (and I often spend money on “free” games that I enjoy) and they can’t fix bugs.
If you genuinely want to know what's fixed, check out the release notes. Most are listed.
Everything you mentioned, except AS, are minor issues with known workarounds, such as deleting gifts from the bottom. Restarting the game is annoying, but not a showstopper.
As for Fortress instability, that seems to be connectivity related. I've not had much of an issue. I've been booted a few times out of hundreds of battles. Each time a game restart puts me back in the Fortress.
Trace charm is wonky, but a game restart fixes that too.
I get that some experience more issues than I, but to say they aren't fixing bugs or don't care is just not correct. Considering the numerous gameplay improvements and new content introduced over the last two years, it's actually not bad.
All you guys talking about Buckbeak.... I havr only found 2 ministry executioners. I am resorting to creating "emergency" shopping lists for this afternoon so I can bend the law and go for a walk.
@Not4u13: Sorry, I didn't make myself clear (actually, the initial statement was originally longer, but then I shortened it so it turned out too harsh).
I did check the past couple of release notes, and "Bug fixes" were mostly cosmetic changes, a fix to a problem that I didn't even know existed, and a fix to newer players don't getting the items from S.O.S. task line (which apparently still is a problem).
I'm not saying they didn't fix any bugs at all. There were certainly very severe issues they introduced but then fixed quickly. But overall the number of bugs that effect me personally went up over the last year, and I can't think of one of the longer standing issues having been resolved (not saying there wasn't anything, I just can't recall one).
And yes, none of the issues I listed are gamebreaking. Those are annoying little things that just pile up over time in a game that already includes several annoying aspects...
And regarding new features: I was totally fine with what what was introduced in the first year:
Introduction of AS was great (yes, at the start the game didn't have AS at all).
Rebalancing of the fragments was good (even though the way the reassignment of fragments was handled ended in tons of drama)
The Knight's Bus was welcome
The S.O.S. talent tree was an unexpected positive surprise (although a huge missed opportunity, as most nodes are mostly useless).
We had a relatively constant stream of new registry pages.
However, I can't think of a single new feature of the second year that improved my personal game experience. Let me think...
Instead of an extension of the fortress system with meaningful new profession trees, we got adversaries that are superboring and awkward to battle and came with poorly designed and completely uninspired talent trees.
And the 1920 portkeys. I don't need to lay out, why that didn't improve my gameplay experience, right?
We got one new registry page with the baby beast. Yay. Now, by itself this is good. The problem is that it is the only of its kind for one year now. Let's face it: Once you reach a certain stage in the game, there is no reason to return any foundable, like, at all. If it wouldn't have been for the CD day, however, I would have one page of the registry to fill. Now, going out and finding the somewhat rare members of that page isn't super attractive to me personally. That would be different if instead we would have had like one new page a month, so you can work on more stuff at the same time. So, they kind of dropped the ball on that concept by basically releasing nothing new in this regard otherwise...
Also, the S.O.S. task line was not continued in any way. Instead, we now have to complete timed event task lists that require some commitment that casual players might not be willing or able to do and potentially even coins, just to follow the "story".
FYI, the Buckbeak I encountered counted 1 catch as 2.
I did use trace charm to one and it duplicated 2 so, it counted as 6 in total in the mission progress and have to do a bit of a walk to get the remaining 2. So in total, I only caught 5 and the mission to catch Buckbeak completed.
Maybe I'm lucky I can still go outside and walk around but it's not as bad as I would've thought, ministry executioner is worse.
I agree with @MsKensiCat though on the part where it seems to be getting more tiresome with non-stop events that I'm guessing not even Niantic people do...
For the last few events in the last few months, I just want to get each event over with as soon as possible instead of enjoying the game.
Even Knight Bus doesn't seems to have as many players as it used to be...
This is so frustrating, it shouldn't be this hard to find the creatures when they are part of the task. To take days to find enough executioners - hours with 0 showing up is crazy. And you wonder why I don't play so much???

UPDATE, got it this time in fortress battles…. Weird
How do I get the missing foundable (bottom left - photo won’t upload)? I’ve done all 4 pages and completed the bonus page, used event runes in fortress battles, opened portkeys, etc.
@BrianCrider : Sirius Black? You get him from doing challenges with the event runestone (if you run e.g. Ruins 1 you have about a 50% chance to get one)
How do I get the missing foundable? I’ve done all 4 pages and completed the bonus, used runes in fortress battles, opened port keys, etc. First time I’ve not gotten a foundable in one of these events…
@Yohanes12: That was pretty lucky then. In Ruins V you have about a 60% chance to get that foundable.
@BrianCrider: Right, that's Sirius Black. You get him from challenges using the event runestones. If you received no brilliant foundable, you were unlucky. If you received a different brilliant foundable, you used the wrong runestone.
I am fortunate to be able to move around my area somewhat freely, but there is no way Buckbeak was boosted, even though it was stated as such in the initial event description. The only way I got enough was to use Trace Charms when they did show up, for the bonus. TTDs were good for one a day, at the most.
@hpwulola FYI, nothing can be done about it now, but I am 15 dark detectors and 5 TTC's in (just for this morning, not counting this past weekend) and I have seen a total of 4 Buckbeak spaws. I have tried walking, sitting still, even haunting between two different groups of Inn's in heavily populated areas. NOTHING. From what I can tell, this spawn is in no way boosted which leaves me 5 Buckbeak's shy of finishing this event and out one foundable.
And since adventure sync still isn't working, I can't even get through my portkeys in a timely manner anymore.
Today alone I've used 4 TTDs with 12 extra spawns each and I've gotten all in all 1 (one!) Buckbeak foundable. I used the trace charm and got 6 fragments, so I only need one more trace to get the rest. In the wild I didn't see a single one and I live in a high spawn area. It's so frustrating! This is the third event I won't be able to finish in the past month either because of the bugs or because of RNG skewed definitely against the players (I got a lot of Buckbeaks when I didn't need them).
@HPWUTeam thank you very much for another very enjoyable event. I only used 2 potions to get all the special assignments completed probably because I was not in a hurry to complete the assignments. 👍 😊

Thanks for another fun event to the HPWU team.
@Not4u13: Genuine question, which bugs have been fixed?
For me, the game is at its most buggy state ever:
...and judging by the complaints on this forum, I'm better off than a lot of players.
What have they fixed?
Anything else? Seriously, I can't think of a relevant bug that I experienced that was fixed...

Random gifts still won't delete in the first try and I have to go to the menu twice
@HalloMami it isn’t random, just always delete from the bottom up and it’ll work fine 🙃

Of course... when for the bonus you do a highest fortress chamber with point-doubling potion for the 12500 task... you are halfway thrown out of it.
What a 'coincidence'.
Lost items:
* 1 Level 5 Hogwarts runestone
* 1 Exstimulo
* 1 Strong exstimulo
* 1 With sharpening potion
* Almost 10min of the point-doubling potion
* 1 Health recovery potion
* A lot of spells
Will this message be of any use ? Probably not. Only for my mental relief I suppose

@HalloMami maybe you should use BE rune in ruins chamber V. I got three fragment in a row too.

Saturday, sunday and Monday morning. 5 trace potions and only 2 buckbeaks in the wild. None from traces. They were not boosted in my area 😒
I got them all in Ruins V as well. Weird my screenshot post showed up well after my update. Oh well. Cheers! 🍻
