That is not the problem. The game works as programmed by the developers after typing. But the message is annoying every time, especially since the content is total nonsense.

It does not matter what connection I I using, wifi or mobile data. I get this when I have not actually lost connection. It is just very irritating.

NOW with the recent upgrade and patch I get the same notice when I click into the portkey. This notice only happens when I first log into the game and click portkey. Has anyone been having the same issue? Is there a fix to this issue?
I have, and I wondered if because it happens only in portkeys for me, if this is why my mileage and steps aren't being counted accurately if at all. This only began happening yesterday. Btw, it occurs whether or not I'm on wifi.
Hi, I have trouble with portkeys finish their distance. Since the last event I have 3 portkeys that don't finish, while I made the distance. Is gives a notification dat connection is lost. Re-installing the app didn't work.
I've been having the same issue upon launching the game forever it seems and it just started happening with the 1920's event when I open the port key button to access the page. 🤦🏼♀️ When are they going to fix these glitches already!?
When I open the portkey page this is the error message I get: "Connection lost. Check your wifi or mobile data." When I tap the "Okay" the message disapears. But it is annoying that this error message keeps appearing when my wifi connection and mobile data are just fine.
It keeps happening to me also and my portkeys are there but it is not adding any of my steps towards opening them at all. They should have opened days ago but nothing is happening. I don't know what to do...
Cada que abro los transladores o la tienda me sale el mensaje "conexión perdida, favor de verificar la conexión wifi o datos móviles", no se actualiza la sincroaventura y eh perdido casi 2km que no se registran y me cuesta que se desbloqueen. Por ese mensaje no me salen rastros para capturar fragmentos y no puedo completar las misiones.
Espero lo solucionen pronto porque así no es óptimo jugar.

Any comment from the developers would be helpful on this issue. I am experiencing this same issue along with adventure sync not working. It is ridiculous for there to still be in game tasks related to distance when you can't get your game distance counters working for all users
I get the same message every single time I enter Portkeys. Also, periodically, the game crashes on me and I lose a Portkey. There does not seem to be any consistent event causing the crash. This is the buggiest game I have ever played. I am constantly getting error messages, especially when in Wizarding Challeneges, and the game frequently crashes on me. In both instances, I lose the potions I have used and don’t get credit for whatever I was doing. This happens consistently when I get to a 3-character adversary challenge, such as with Draco Malloy. Indeed, I have only once been able to get through such a challenge. It is very frustrating and disheartening. There are a number of other bugs as well. Are they ever going to be fixed?

I have the same problem. There have been numerous complaints dating back to August 2020. Why hasn’t Niantic responded?

It doesn't matter if I am on Wi-fi or cell, I always get connection lost. I am on the latest Android (Android 11) and HP 2.17.0

It’s now part of my startup routine. Maybe one year was enough? We have other bugs to explore so you can remove this one.

It’s an integral feature now. If this is taken away, the game will feel different.
