Brilliant portmanteaus still openable?

I know previous event there was a bit of an issue with losing the portkey altogether if you tried opening it after the event. Is that still the case this time around? I'm only missing the portkey fragments from the latest event, but now that the event is over, I don't want to risk opening my portkeys once I unlock the portmanteaus and not ending up getting anything.

    If you check out the community event announcement made today, the brilliant event portkey situation was verified again when they said “ Please keep in mind that this is the intended behavior of Brilliant Portkeys; the Brilliant Foundable reward is dependent on when you originally picked up the Portmanteau and not when it's unlocked.”


    Your portkey will give you fragments based on the event you picked it up during.

    Yep, so no point saving brilliant portkeys from event to event. I’m working on clearing out my leftover brilliants now so there’s no confusion!

    I just walked off my last two...one had Harry’s Trunk in them!! I will not hold 7k portkeys ever again, lol!
