Thank you very much @HPWUTeam for another enjoyable event. I finished the first 4 special assignments in a day using one TfTD, to get all the Tom Riddle(s) that I needed. The rest I got mostly at home every time I turn on the game to put away the potions that finished brewing, and apply the master notes on the next ones. (I like applying the master notes on most of my potions probably because it took me a long time figuring out the combinations on each one of them.) As usual, I am taking my time to complete the bonus assignment. I am glad that you didn't specify where we can use the potions because I am looking forward to using them on Adversaries. ***** 🤩 👍
Also, thank you very much for making the growing time of baneberries for 5 minutes. It enables me to plant and harvest them while walking my granddoggie.
Correction on my previous message: the growing time for baneberry is 7 hours, not the 5 minutes that's stated in a chart that I got online. That's good, too, because I can come back when it is no longer hot but still has sunlight.
Typical of the Brilliant Events, the TTD gives me exactly the OPPOSITE of what I need. I'm on 3/4 trying to get Hagrid. I get only a couple of him, and I get kicked back to the map on one. The rest of the Brilliant traces are Acromantula Eggs, Slugs, and Draco Malfoy! And the last two are from Part 1! I guess the developers are favorably disposed to those who were able to finish the ENTIRE EVENT on day 1.
Give us Tom Riddles! Same as most people above I've used multiple TTD and dark detectors and not one! I would like to move on from this task page now please!
And what do you know...? After writing yesterday that also I didn't get a single Tom Riddle (during long time.playing and applying trace revealing potion / field charm), the next morning there appeared 3 in a row!

I try not to complain about this game, but it seems like the enjoyability continues to decrease. I used to love brilliant events on my walks. I’m finally able to get back to my walks after a few months off and now there’s hardly any traces at all. No Tom Riddles. I feel like I’m being forced to pay to play so I can run through TTDs but I guess not since they don’t even work for the event. Im starting to get to the point I don’t like using TTDs during brilliants because I don’t get enough of what I need and burn through so much spell energy on the other stuff. I’m a completionist gamer but I feel like I’m going to have to abandon this game soon.
Today used TTD while walking in a path that usually has higher chance of traces and met 5. Used trace charm on 2 of them, so got another 2 from the charm.
Tom Riddle is non existant. I have used 3 trace charm potions and 0 Tom Riddle that Ir was supposed to be boosted. I Will not ve able to continue the event :(
I have placed 4/5 brilliant secrets revealed family foundables and collected 15 mysterious note pieces and earned 200 challenged xp. Brilliant traces are no longer dropping fragments since I achieved that. How do I get Aragogs children to place with the family foundables?
I'm guessing pandemic stuff that wasn't specified as permanent is slowly going away too. At first I thought I just read it wrong but now instead of giving 5 spell energy each on the map I'm getting a lot of 3s. Bummer
Completed the event and all bonus tasks. I liked it. Interesting that the portkey object requires only three instead of the usual five and as someone earlier pointed out, you don't need a single portkey to complete the event as completing the bonus task awards the three fragments you need.
I found Tom Riddle to be plentiful around me, but mostly in the wild. Very few if you are in a dead zone and use TFTD as your only means to get traces. Applying a trace charm helps spawn additional Tom Riddle, but the extra fragments rewarded don't count toward task as they did with Young James Potter in the last event.
Adventure Sync not working so definitely not opening as many portkeys as usual, but at least it counts the distance I walk while the game is open, so I can still open some.
The energy picked up from the ground provides five most of the time during the event and sometimes three, which is pretty typical. Not sure I'm seeing any changes there as @CBG92 suggested.
Now I have a few days left of the event to ignore brilliant traces.
@Radretired: the abbreviations problem even gets worse if you're playing the app in non-English language. Then not only the full meaning is hard to guess, but then it still doesn't always connect to something you know from the game!
Next to that the English character names also don't mean much to me without Google... e.g. Tom Riddle appears to be Marten Vilijn in Dutch. So it's already a **** of a job to keep up in this forum, let alone when so much non-understandable abbreviations are used indeed.
Finished the Bonus task, and while the reward mentioned a Gareth-related badge, now have two Unforgivable Truth badges. Restarting hasn't changed anything. @HPWUTeam ?
@Not4u13 with respect to the spell energy, I've noticed that it was always 5-only during events, but 3-5 other times (only started playing after the pandemic started). Seems to have changed since a few days ago with 3-5 even during events.

Maybe HPWUPLOLA needs to lookup the meaning of "boosted"? Also here: none encountered so far.
Finally found the Toms. Thought for a moment they where being stingy with Hagrids next but then I started finding them.

Yes, it's just as it has been lately. Tell us we need to find Tom Riddle traces, then NONE show up.

Has anyone gotten the dialogue from the note fragments or was there just not any. Could someone post the dialogue.

I found 2 Toms while I was a passenger in a car, but that was pure luck, nothing happening with TTDs. This is NOT designed to be played in a pandemic.

Opened the game a few minutes ago and the end of the dialogues popped up along with all the 1920's stuff.
Completed the event and all bonus tasks. I liked it. Interesting that the portkey object requires only three instead of the usual five and as someone earlier pointed out, you don't need a single portkey to complete the event as completing the bonus task awards the three fragments you need.
