@RenanBarao5 I only have one page to prestige to gold but spotlight events also allows me to get a lot of Ministry Manuals for SOS training. It is also possible to get charms and gold gifts. That's why some people like them. Plus there's no special assignment to complete.
@Djea , I know that. My concern was for those already completed the pages and skill trees. These events make no sense for them. There is no need to play anymore which makes these players quit. The events should somehow have value to them. You won't understand until you reach that point.
Gracias
What do you suggest? No event so nobody benefits? Spotlight events are designed to help players that have not yet completed collecting all fragments for rare traces. Those who have spent countless hours and maybe even real money to advance more quickly have the satisfaction of knowing they can take a break or just enjoy starring pages for the fun of it.
If the only reason for playing the game is to advance in the game, then maybe it is time to reconsider playing at all. Not that I want to drive anyone away, but I'm suggesting that for many of us, there is more to this game than maxing out every achievement.
I'm a level 60 player that has also made gold on pages. I still enjoy the game.
@RenanBarao5 you shouldn't be asking for more events then, you should be asking for new content that can be enjoyed whenever. Unfortunately the @HPWUTeam is making the upcoming features (1920s and Lethal Adversaries) event-focused instead of integrating them into day to day gameplay. I'm nearly to level 60 and agree the game is completely boring at that point, but the solution is more full time content, not events. Having a weekend without task lists is great, so enjoy it!
An major new in game feature encouraging exploration thru portkeys requirement walking while there are increasing Covid 19 Delta varient outbreaks is irresponsible.
It is very short sited and naive to think that access to covid 19 vaccines easy and that world wide supply is plentiful.
In most countries not being vaccinated is not a matter of choice but a matter of access.
@RenanBarao5 not every event has to offer something special for every player. If you don't see any value in the spotlight event then just play like you normally would if there weren't an event. Or do what I'm doing, take a break from the game for those days.
I don't mind the event being postponed, but it would be really great to receive an in-game notification about it. Came here to check if another event was active since there were lots of red spawns.
@Tarc Only responsible people are vaccinated or safe? If only that were the case. People are paying for vaccination access here, individuals and companies are making bribes and "donations" to get to the front of vaccination queues because they are desperate. People are literally dying on the streets. The things I have seen over the last few weeks have almost broken me. They are using sleeper trains as field hospitals for the sick, because there's not enough room for them in the actual hospitals.
And we are not even the worst hit country or with the lowest vaccine access. Honestly, very few countries have the vaccination records of the USA and UK.
This is not about "punishing" people who can play, but about considering equal access for the player base, and a responsible way of moving forward. Is it really fair to launch a worldwide game mechanic that involves portkeys and walking, when there is no adventure sync? I have been able to leave my house the whole of four times since April, and one of those was for my first vaccination. On two of the four outings, I have personally seen the worst consequences of Covid, without getting too graphic.
Players here in a local group have been talking about going out and playing anyway because they don't want to miss out. Can you imagine if people end up contracting Covid and losing their lives because they felt pressured into playing the game? What about children who may be exposed to the increasingly frequent black bags on the streets? This is not the time for playing games with people's lives.
Last year, when we had fewer than 2000 cases in total, and the USA and UK had more than that daily in intensive care, there were play at home adjustments made. For the benefit of those players in countries that were severely impacted. We never once complained, because it was a good idea. Because it kept people safe. So now, players in regions that are being hit hard are being asked for the same courtesy.
I understand that some players are ready for things to return to normal. Others are frustrated and want new content. No-one is saying that there shouldn't be new content, just that we need to ensure it is safe for players who are still in dangerous environments. We are asking for the same empathy and understanding that we showed you.
I understand that you are frustrated, but understand that your tone and your post sounds selfish, cruel and completely lacking in any kind of empathy.
Why are we having the convergence event on a random weekday after it got pushed out? Wasn’t it pushed out to fix AS? If we aren’t getting the fixes, what’s the hurry to launch it on 18th?
The updates have still not fixed my adventure sync or ability to collect milage when the game is one. I cant participate in a portkey even when I cant open portkeys. Please do not role out another event when android users still are not able to play.
The 1920s page showed up just now. And so did red dots on all the registry tabs. Please make them go away. And, push this event further out until AS is fixed. Thx.
The 1920s page showed up just now. And so did red dots on all the registry tabs. Please make them go away. And, push this event further out until AS is fixed. Thx.
Weekday events are much more difficult for me as with many others. I still play, but much less as I work. I still walk, but not as much, because I work. So ... this should be interesting.
Good news though, it seems these events will come back. We don't have to try to gold every page with this single event. In fact, I don't recommend anyone try. Enjoy the event and don't stress about it. Leave something to do for the next event, and the next one.
So, since the number of fragments that are needed to prestige to bronze are out: Ok, obvious cash grab is obvious...
27 fragments per page; assuming each are 1 km portmanteaus and that they release stuff for one page only, that's 27 km to walk in two work days. Without AS (for most of us, I guess). And in an ideal world where you can get exactly the fragments you need. Or you can do this within 3 km with silver keys for about 1728 coins.
I'll take @Not4u13's advice and take this reeally slow, basically open the app a few times during the day and pick up portmanteaus if they pop up and ignore the event otherwise...
Everyone has a way to enjoy the game. There are players that enjoy advancing. Not everyone can enjoy the game like you. This is why events should benefit each and every player. That is what I want. The game should add more content as more players max the game. I don't think the HPWU team wants max players to stop.
This game is not designed to be "won". I have played since the beginning and am a level 60 player. I just don't try and do everything I can to go as fast as I can to do it. If that's what you want to do, then fine. But I don't have much sympathy when the next complaint is the game is boring or an obvious cash grab. One way to ensure there is always something to work towards is to take a measured approach in reaching achievements.
Perfect example is the Lethal Adversaries. I only recently collected enough books to complete the lethal tree and its still well before lethal Adversaries are released. I play daily and haven't spent any money, but I also haven't spent many hours every Adversary event to try and gold every page. I have three gold and all the rest are silver. I still have something to work towards as each Adversary event comes around. It keeps the game fun and engaging for me.
I think it is unrealistic to expect the developer to release new content fast enough to satiate the appetite of the most aggressive achievement hunters. It makes many achievements virtually unreachable for the casual player. Keeping those players engaged is critical for the longevity of the game. Not to mention the much higher development costs required to release fresh content.
Adjust the pace of play to match the way the game is designed and you will find much greater enjoyment and not feel like you should abandon it.
I appreciate the attitude, @Not4u13. My (subjective) issue is that most of the recent additions to the game I perceive as boring to play.
Adversaries? Yay, stand in a place for X minutes doing the same thing over and over while wasting energy and/or potions to receive a resource that helps you solve the issue they created oh so slightly better. Or getting kicked out eventually due to a glitch. Oh, and also not get the sticker you needed to complete the page, obviously. All the power to those that enjoy this, I don't. It is fine to do maybe one a day, but that is about as patient as I am. So, while I do have almost all pages in my registry on gold (I do need some more of Harry Potters Wand, but nobody does D2, so...), with adversaries, I have 2 on silver, the others on bronze....
And now this. Ok, granted, at least you need to walk around here which is closer to what I perceive as the main selling point of the game, but opening portmanteaus isn't exactly thrilling game play either. It is something you do on the side while doing actually interesting stuff. So, we'll see how this works out, but I guess I'll treat those registry pages the same way as the adversary ones.
And the restriction that these portmanteaus are only available during the events and you need to open them in the alloted time is really only there to artifically create FOMO. So
"Adjust the pace of play to match the way the game is designed"
in this case would actually mean:" Throw all silver keys you have and then some more at this event, quick!" ;)
That is fundamentally fine (even if it might be a bad look), after all they need to earn money with the game. It's just that right now this doesn't seem exciting enough for me to give them any for this. Sounds like it is not for you either...
But we'll see, if they do these repeatedly one every two weeks or so, we might get somewhere. Only, of course, that the whales will have everything on gold about 10 hours after the event starts...
...and that's actually a fundamental problem in this game's design, but that would be too far off-topic...
@Not4u13 like someone else said, not everyone enjoys playing this game like you. Stop assuming that we'd enjoy it more if we did play it like you, personally I find the 'slow' advancement method beyond mind-numblingly boring. But also like @HalloMami said pretty much everything they've released from May 2020 on everything they've released has been one ever increasingly buggy, boring disappointment after another.
I think this "family" is going to be played like the Oddities Dragon pages or the brilliant event pages. Some foundables will be from traces in the wild, others will be from portkeys, and some will be won through fortress challenges. They need to have regular events so that we get the chance to open more portkeys to prestige the pages. That would be fun! Plus they are using some foundables that we have encountered during past brilliant events. I was wondering when they are going to do that.
Will the traces (after opening the portkey) be linked thightly to gps accuracy? Just want confirmatiom if its safe to open the portkey while our environment is not reliable with high gps accuration (in moving vehicles, inside building etc)
@Djea nothing in this family will be in the wild or from forts. you pick up a portk, unlock it, open it, get rewards + one encounter, if you leave the encounter you lose it. It is 100% portk exclusive content/family.

Why transfer this event from a weekend to weekdays. Some of us have to work and will not have any opportunity to complete the tasks.

Ok. Got the registry pages for 1920 and then some.
Dots !!! And no way to tell whats legit without going through all the registries 🤣have to laugh at this point
Please wizarder, complete prestige to silver frame because this is a exclusive trace before times out. You can check image this one.
Remember, this trace will remove after Convergence ends. So happy hunting trace 1920's Wizarding World!
