Three different times I try to make it through the dark chamber five in the Apple crash to be restarted. Would not let me re-join the group. Lost potions spell energy and time. Very frustrating. This is on an apple iPhone 7. Also happening on an SE.
As reported by others, A short moment ago I was attempting to complete the current event bonus task by completing a wizard if challenge in Dark Chsmber V, my highest chamber unlocked as required per the task. Not half way through the allotted time period, and with no apparent reason, a game error occurred and a restart of the game occurred automatically, kicking me out of the chamber forcing myself and the other two individuals I was with to lose the runes tones and potions spent as well as he opportunity to complete the challenge….clearly a game bug and as such, there is no reason to even attempt to retry, especially seeing that others have posted the exact same bug on this forum. This occurred on Apple IPhone 12Pro.
I just had this same thing happen. I was on my last foe with about 45 sec left, solo play in the chamber (Dark V). Had used about 5 each strong and potent estimulo potions, a couple health, and 6-7 wit-sharpening. I was almost done beating it on my own for the first time and it crashed and had to restart.

I just wanted to say you are not required to win just to complete the challenge. Ie: start the challenge solo in your highest chamber and poke a bit on a couple of foes. Don't use any potions, if you get the time penalty just wait it out. When the challenge time is up you have "completed" the chamber and will get credited...
Thanks DENNISKORV. I didn’t realize losing would also grant credit. I still think it’s bad form on the game as unless that’s commonly known, folks will try to honestly win the chamber, as I did, and be unable to due to the error bug and lose whatever you invest in it. It also explains instances I’ve seen where it felt like a lobby of 5 players in a dark chamber did not have all players participating, and now I know why, which is another, separate problem. Thanks again.
With only 5 foes left to defeat, I was in the middle of fighting an erkling. I opened up my potions and once I selected a strong extimulo, an error message popped up saying there was a connection issue and had to reboot the game. Once rebooted, it did not return to the battle. I used and lost multiple healing, wit sharpening and extimulos with no rewards to show for it. Also had a BBE going (not enough time left on it to start another Dark V battle) and the XP would have finished off my task in 4/4 for the event.
I’ve been kicked out of my highest room wizarding challenge four times today. Each time I get a pop up which says network error, restart game. There is no other option, you have to restart. When you do, every potion is lost and the rune you used is gone as wel. This is ridiculous, how can you ever complete the brilliant event like this.
I have also gotten a network error when using potions in the fortress which popped up the screen to restart the game. It doesn’t happen with every potion. It happened at least twice at home when I had no other noticeable connectivity issues. I have asked around and this seems to be happening more than before the latest update to many wizards unite players.
I just got kicked out of dark v chamber. I was in it solo with 27 foes. I was almost half way through, I had used 7 strong estimilo and the whole game rebooted! Didn't even put me back in the fortress! All those potions wasted because of the game bug.
dont use more than 1 potion per time in forts/advers it can make things crash. dont do (for example) potion selector -> healing/wit/extim -> healing/wit/extim (or any other) -> attack foe.

The last time, I was on a Baruffio elixir, in the highest chamber, on the last foe required to beat the chamber! This is the only task I have left in my Bonus tasks and I can't complete it because the game keeps kicking me out for no reason!

I’ve lost so many potions and spells as a result of an error that crashes the game and kicks me out of Fortress Challenges. Very frustrating. Don’t understand how there could be such a major (and costly!) glitch in the game, and it’s happened so often this past week I’m pretty much done with this game unless/until it gets fixed. Really embarrassing for Niantic to have such a terrible product with so many bugs when this game has been out for so long… what is going on?!

I had the same problem, once yesterday in an Adversary challenge and twice today. This morning, it happened while battling the last Adversary and another time while in a Dark chamber with 4 other people. Lost potions and a runestone when I was unceremoniously kicked off in a forced restart. I didn't feel like finishing the tasks after the incident yesterday but tried it again today. I don't think it's gonna be worth another try. I'd have to replenish too many resources because of these errors. It may be worth noting that I used a strong invigoration draught no problem. It was when I was already engaged in a battle that I got kicked off.

My game was fine earlier this afternoon but now won't connect on either wireless or data. It says there is an error with the wireless network.

It's not fair to use this tactic when playing with anyone else, hence the solo bit...
I had to use this method myself this time since I tried for several hours to get a full team in DC5 but noone else was joining... 😒

do (instead): potion selector -> healing -> attack foe -> defend/protego -> extim -> attack -> defend -> wit

This has happened to me multiple times now over the last few days. Always in the hard chambers after I use a lot of potions. What a waste!!
