My husband has done 36(!!) Peter Pettigrew adversary battles and gotten exactly ONE silver hand. Surely Niantic, you can't really expect anyone to do over 200 adversary battles to complete the bonus. He's just about ready to call it quits on the game between this and the adversaries just poofing in the middle of the battle (not to return even if he restarts his game).
While it would normally be a good thing for Wormtail to be nowhere to be found (including after using far too many tonic for trace detections).... I really really wanted that title from the bonus assignment 😓😣😓
@Ashkaa .. Spawn rates for James seems appropriate as you only need 6 'fragments' (trace charm quite helpful here) as opposed to 10 actual foundables.
I didn’t have any problem with any part of the event other than the Silver Hand. I got a few right away when I started the bonus tasks and haven’t gotten one since, despite fighting the Peter Pettigrew adversary a number of times. Hopefully I’ll be able to get the last two!
It would be fantastic if the bonus tasks would grant silver hands for completing the challenge. 7 duels later and I’ve got 1 hand. Nice new scam to get us to burn through potions.
5 Tonics with 3 Dark Detectors & ZERO James Potters... on top on all the other bugs (so no trace charms to use even if I found one) and the high data usage still totally off the charts... I keep asking myself why I am still playing this game......

Just finished this event. Only saw two Young James Potter the entire event. Trace Charm saved it.
Aside from that low spawn rate, I appreciated having tasks that were not just Adversaries for this event. It made it more interesting working out what to grab and work on. I actually liked that the Young Marauders were used as they are harder and more rare (just too rare in that one case). Fitting. Made me work for it.
I didn't have the problem with the silver hand some are reporting. I sometimes received two fragments in a single chain.
So frustrated! In my area it seems Sirius Black is boosted instead of Peter Pettigrew. With 6 hours left I still need four! No chance of finishing the bonus tasks as I actually have to earn a living. I’ve used TTT and dark detectors to no avail. I just keep getting dogs instead of rats!
Way to go guys, first event I will not finish completely, since the inception of the game. Thanks a ton for breaking the game over and over again, this time so much so that I got frustrated and basically quit. Again, way to go, I see nothing but pain from here, I’m out.
Count me as another player who's frustrated about the silver hand. I have done 12 Peter Pettigrew adversary battles and got two hands total. I've burned through my potions and had to buy spell energy and still nothing. I have a ton of Peter's wands, severed fingers and Scabbers the rat but no stupid silver hands. I get that this is a challenge but they could at least make it fun instead of infuriating!
Also, on the subject of spell energy, anyone noticed that the young Peter Pettigrew foundable is ridiculously hard to capture? I got FIVE masterfuls in a row trying to get one and it still departed. This has happened several times now. Since I wasted all my potions trying to capture the silver hand and failed, the last thing I'm going to do is purchase any more from the store to capture it quickly despite what Niantic is trying to bully me to do.

Thank you very much for a very challenging and exhilarating Adversaries Event @HPWUTeam . I managed to finish the main special assignment in less than 2 days, and the bonus assignment in less than a day. This Adversaries Event is very challenging but not impossible; which is why I like it.
I used a lot of TfTDs because I only get the traces that I need and ignore the rest. I have been doing that since I reached level 60. I do miss the yellow band circling around my ID picture.
I feel sad that some of my friends, who have reached level 60, have stopped playing. I hope they come back once the Lethal Adversaries are here. This game is still very enjoyable and challenging after level 60. Thank you very much@HPWUTeam for all your efforts. 🤩
I actually enjoyed this event. I was busy with work, so had a greatly reduced time to complete.
Struggled with spawns as most people, but TfTD's sorted that. (I try to keep at least 30 TfTD's)
Trace Charms not working very well for me, so I didn't use them.
EDM's are soooo slow, 3 spawns in 30 mins, but lucky to get the silver hands after using 2 extra EDM.
I was most worried about the Dark Caverns , as I had to do them during daylight hours on the KB, I've had more than a few bad times in previous events. No worries this time, good teams for all 3 raids. (as Professor).
About 300 energy down, 60 SEP's, 16 PEP's, 6 SID's, 8 TfTD's, 3 EDM's, 6 DD's.
As I stated at the beginning of this post, I enjoyed this event, thank you HPWU team!
As many have said good event, however, I did find the drop rate of silver hand to decrease after receiving the bonus assignment (confirmation bias probably).
Low spawning of traces: first set of tasks – lots of Young Remus/Sirius, but very, very low nos. for James; second set of tasks – hardly any of the required Young Marauders, even with TTD, and still need a few, and with less than 2 hrs. to finish
EDM – first one gave only Peter Pettigrew’s during the first set of tasks, but second had none; didn’t feel like using more as my stock is low, and I’ve only gotten 1 or maybe 2 as gifts on completing an adversary chain for the last few weeks, in spite of completing all tasks in the last 3-4 adversary events
Had good encounters in the dark chamber, so one nice thing with this event

After defeating 6 Pettigrew chains I got only 1 silver hand. That is 2 EDM, a bunch of potions, and I don't even know how much spell energy. Obviously did finish bonus assigment as at that rate I would have needed to defeat 30 Pettigrew chains.
Would help if rarity of return didn't increase in an event...just saying.
So how many people like me didn't finish the event. I found my last Potter this morning on the way to work. That left me with 6 hours to do the rest but I had to work. Was only able to complete the dark chambers on lunch. Got 5 away from the young marauders but time ran out.

The EDM is also a potential gift for completing an Adversary chain, but I haven't seen any in this event yet.

Somebody appears to have turned the silver hand switch on at last... after 1 from 13 battles, I just got the last 5 I needed in 3 consecutive battles!

I had just completed some of the tasks (including two for DADA books) but didn’t manage to claim my prize. Is there any way I can retrieve them?
