No appropriate adversaries

This is without a doubt the worst adversary event so far. Since I don’t get dark marks naturally where I live I have had to use edible dark marks and even though I’ve used over 5 dark marks I’m still short on the mummies and Sphinx because I keep getting acromantula or basilisks. Honestly if this keeps up I may have to quit because I won’t be able to afford to complete the challenges

I have the same problem. Mummies and Sphinxes are not plentiful enough. Please complete the task for me, if possible. I'm under Covid-19 lockdown in my province, and have run out of EDMs, and none have spawned from the Adversary Encounters I have managed to complete. @hpwulola
Dark Marks wouldn't help. We are down to 5.5 hours remaining and I have only seen ONE Aragog chain and NO Basilisk's at all. I am on my third Dark mark this morning and the **** that keeps popping up are all the stupid dragons and Lockheart. I only need two freaking adversaries to finish and don't have the luxury of going out to find them. I am seriously starting to hate Niantic at this point.
I have not seen any mummies nor sphinxes chains at all in 2 days. I've used edible dark mark, lost a dark mark, only a few hours left and this is the first time I've been unable to complete this task. I've completed the other two requirements. Can this task completed for me since NO mummies/sphinxes appeared AT ALL pleeeeaaaassse.
I have the same problem. 4 EDMs got me everything but mummies sphinxes and will fall short. No way to complete the bonus without assistance.
Mad too.
Not getting any spawns for Basilisks and Aragog too. won’t spawn in the wild and I’ve used 3-4 edm’s in the last 4 hours looking for them.
And i finished all the other steps…
stop the unrelated spawns during adversary events…

I had the same issue. I used 6 edible dark marks, went to several parks, used all my potions and was not able to complete the event because not enough mummies and sphinxes appeared. This is the first event I wasn't able to complete in a long time. It's frustrating to burn through all your supplies and still not be able to finish.
I had the same problem the last few Adversaries events, only non quest adversaries spawning instead of the ones needed, even with EDMs. I usually only get 3 adversaries per dark mark, and usually only one if any that is quest related. What’s frustrating is getting to where I only need one last quest specific part of a quest to complete the final event and trying for over 90 minutes using multiple EDMs and not getting the ones I need to spawn. This keeps happening and it’s infuriating. Not only does it happen with Adversaries events but also the Brilliant events.
Plus it’s ridiculous how much energy you need to complete one adversary chain and the number of health potions for the final adversary since I’m not maxed yet. I spend so much money on energy because energy rarely spawns where I live. The game used to be enjoyable but now it’s just a big expensive grind that is just plain stressful.
Also why does an Adversaries event have to start as soon as a Brilliant event ends. I don’t even get time to get my energy built back up before I’m running out again due to back to back events and it forces me to purchase energy if I have any hopes of completing the challenges. I even max out my purchases and can’t buy anymore featured bundles to get enough energy on most occasions. I was giving the game another chance after getting frustrated with the April events, giving Niantic time to listen to the players and make changes but I guess that was wishful thinking. Guess I just might be done with this game after all like the rest of my family is.
I couldn't find enough sphinx and mummies to complete the quest in spite of using the dark marks. In fact, the dark marks didn't give me any sphinx or mummies, so I ended up 4 short.
My sphinx/mummy, 4 are from EDM's (several) and the other 4 have to move abou to find them
This was my experience. A couple of Dark Marks, dozens of adversaries but I couldn't get enough sphinx or mummies to complete the task. If they'd even included three-headed dogs to allow all the dragons to count I could have finished it, but several hours roaming about on the last day and the right ones just wouldn't spawn.
I ended up 3 short, and it is the first time it's genuinely felt unfair that I didn't complete the assignment because the RNG just made me unlucky, rather than not trying hard enough to get what I needed.
