DOES THE FEEDBACK CARE?

Hello everyone.

One thing I've been questioning myself is if there are anyone in the other side recepting the feedback and considering implementing it?

Day after day fellow wizards come here to the forum suggests and discusses INCREDIBLE ideias to improve the gameplay of HPWU, and there are no minimal signal that there is at least one soul reading the text. So, it makes me wonder if its not a great waste of time?

Actually, my experience with Niantic and PoGo wory me a lot: for 3 years of gameplay Niantic have implemented features, failed due to not listening the fb of the community, and some time later reboot the mechanic. It happened with:

  1. Gym System
  2. Ex Raid System
  3. PVP (indeed, they are working on it now due the extremely low engage)

I really don't know how to feel about this question... What about you, what are your thoughts on it?

There is an important difference between what someone wants and what someone needs - between what the players want and what the game needs.

I think that Niantic does listen to our complaints but I also think that they'll come up with their own solution to it instead of using the solutions/suggestions of the playerbase.

As for the Gym-Rework, I personally like it more now than before. The first draft was very similar to the "guardian" mechanic of Ingress - which has since been abandoned due to the excessive amounts of toxicity it had created.

I also believe that (and have seen evidence for) Niantic listens and reads a lot of what's written about their games - but they are smart (at least in my humble opionion) by not taking those suggestions 1:1 and instead using it as an inspiration for features of their own.

I agree with @Lucoire and have also seen evidence of our influence. We must also keep in mind the long game Niantic is playing. Based on my experience with PoGo, they have a good deal under the hood we haven't seen yet, and plans for their games that are a long way in implementation. Any influence we have will have to jive with their long term goals. If Niantic showed me anything with PoGo, they have been thoughtful and thorough in their designs and their interaction with the community and player base has been crucial to tweaking and improving their products.
