Community Day strategy
Hello Wizards and Witches,
I am hoping to gain some strategy for the next Community Day.
I have been reading that if you were hustling you could earn 100,000 exp during the window of time.
I played the entire time and opened 8 portkeys. Two of them glitched so I didn't get anything from those two.
At the end of the event with the six portkeys that I did open I made 50,000 exp.
What recommendations do you have to maximize the time period to get the most exp out of the event?
Thank you for the insight!

Go near some inns and collect everything you see! It was my strategy and It worked prefectly. Sure portkeys are priority to this. You can get some 2km portkeys after them and unlock them in those 3 hours too!
I went to our local community college because there’s an abundance of inns within a small area. Find a spot like that, so you don’t have to worry about blowing through tons of spell energy. Since the community day overlapped with the Brilliant event, I went after every Brilliant Foundable that popped up at triple XP. Between good, great, and masterful casts, I probably averaged 550 to 600 XP on Brilliant traces that day and farmed just over 80,000 XP during the event. I probably could have done a little better if I was more intense about it, but I was more than satisfied with my results. The number of severe/emergency level Foundables was a little underwhelming. I landed one Minerva and two Fawkes. Still, I felt like it was pretty decent for the first Community Day event.
i went to where i expected to find the most foundables. my spell energy cap is pretty decent, and while there were only two inns where i was i returned just over 400 foundables during the event. was down to almost no energy by the time it was done (19) but it was worth spending the morning farming energy up. (started over 200 energy)
solid win, had a good time.
What everyone else said, and make sure you have 6 Baruffio's Brain Elixer and several Dark Detectors.
The park I went to has 3 Fortresses, about 10 Greenhouses, and about 10 Inns. When the time started there were already an increased number of Traces. But then we threw 3 DD's on every Inn and the number doubled. There were far more than the three of us could possibly grab.
Like @Acumen I also took advantage of the Brilliants. I went up almost 2 levels that day.
This time I'm focusing my potion making on Invigoration Draught, Health, and Wits potions.
this time i am gonna start with all 50 potion slots holding health potions, have a full spell energy bar, and as many runes as i can get between now and then.
since health potions and fortress battles are the focus of the event - gonna fight the highest level fortress battles jacked up health potions will let me beat.
am at the point where i really need regular spellbook items to master more auror skills, so i want to get the most challenge bar xp i can get per runestone used. this seems like the perfect event to focus on challenge xp.
@Digitalis That’s a good plan. I’m making mine all about the challenges as well. I am going to stock up on wit-sharpening potion and strong invigoration draughts as well to make sure I can fight more efficiently and conserve some of my energy. I figure as we push higher, there will be more elites and e wit-sharpening will become more important.
While all of the suggestions have been good, @Crogabattoir asked about maximizing XP during community day.
The previous community day was focused on maximizing XP. It featured increased number of Hogwarts foundables, extended dark detectors and triple XP from brain elixirs.
These are not features of this community day. This community day is focused on fortress battles and particularly with multiple people. This is not a way to get lots of XP and wizards should not be expecting huge XP boosts from this event.
If you want a lot of XP in a short period of time do what has been mentioned, use a brain elixir in an area that has a lot of inns and use three dark detectors on each inn.
What should you be focusing on for community day?
What should you do to prepare for community day?
Ive just screenshotted all the advice above, thanks guys!!
Don't think there's anything i can add to all the great advice already been given!
Im going to try & get that player card made & a few copies ready though @Osprey1 , il paste the link if i get it done in time.
Oh- there is one thing adding to @Osprey1 's list- if u live in the uk, esp north- have a raincoat or umbrella & you might need your big coat on! 😂😂
Hey everyone, not sure if you have seen yet but there"s a live map now in the local groups and events section on here ready for Community day.
Check your country and see if your city/town has any pins yet asking about meeting up.
If not...There are a couple of posts that say insert your thread here and if you click on that, then in the subject for example I put 'Community Dat Meet up?' And then in the description you type your location in brackets like this ...
[Preston, lancashire, England] then your pin will appear on the map & you should hopefully get some people from your area click on your pin then you can strategise ready for Saturday.
There aren't many pins yet so i thought I'd just point out the feature here too 😊
Quick note, should be double bracket around location. [[ ]]
I was just going to add that lol! I realised and thought doh!! I didn't double the brackets!
So yeh it's e.g....[[Preston, Lancashire, England]]
Double brackets. Apologies
at first - use Baruffalo
Mmmmm... brains.
We found a local fortress with shade, 4 inns in range and good parking. I am going to start cooking brots an hour before or so several of us are bringing bag chairs and drinks, snacks and the rest to share. we are planning on 20-30 people playing at the same fortress some groups will be climbing the lader. some will be focusing on Ruins 5 some on Tower 5 and some on Forest 3. that way people can work with similer leveled players and we can all learn from each other.
For the upcoming community day, I have been brewing potent extimulo potions, wit sharpening potions, healing potions and baruffio brain elixirs.
I am interested in what the team bonus is in fortress battles.
@LekeyVelder You are putting my case of water to shame. Sounds like I need to step up my picnic game! Lol!
Im still not sure how many to expect. The people in my area are a little non-commital so hard to get a solid estimate.
That sounds fantastic @LekeyVelder
I’d like to put something like that together for this weekend as well, but it’ll be so hot here in Amarillo that I doubt more than one or two people will show up. Come Fall, I think it’ll be easier to tempt people outside for three hours during the afternoon.

Know what you need to complete your challenge registry pages and what level gives those as rewards
Completing Challenge Registry Pages is all fine and good--but whatever you do, DO NOT prestige them! Presently they do not work the same way that Exploration Pages do. (you should always prestige Exploration Pages ASAP; it will increase Family XP per foundable)
Challenge foundables give you additional Challenge XP only when you have max fragments.
E.g., doing Tower III solo, you'll make 56 CXP if you haven't maxed the joke product foundable, vs 60 if you have. (1 per fragment)
@ThePaperwork Does challenge registry give us extra xps after completing a gold frame? because there is no prestiging after that and they are all at the max fragmenta. Can you please comsider to see this in your next fortress battle?
