Ok I have tried for 2 days the square root method, it is all I have left. Have finally been able to get a few masterful spells but not on flipendo!!!! Uggggggg!!!! It is literally all I have left! Come on Niantic stop making things impossible before I hang up the wand for good!
@hpwulola are you able to complete the task for those of us commenting on this thread as the other appears to be closed. I'm getting incredibly frustrated with not being able to cast masterful and the rare flipendo foundries that are appearing are being caught with good casts.. thanks
I have been trying to do this masterful flipendo spell for 3 days now. I have tried the square root spell, still doesn't work. I won't be happy if I can't finish this event on just these 2 spells. Niantic need to change this task and stop making events unachievable to finish. This is the only event I have had problems with and if I don’t finish because of this task I probably won't play this game in the future.
Currently at level 44! Love this game but unfortunately I do not love this particular flipendo challenge assigned to our current Brilliant Event. Is there any way you could please mark my masterful flipendo spell task as completed. This task is next to impossible and really takes the fun and enjoyment out of the game. It would be much appreciated if you could do others the favor as well and maybe rethink challenges such as this one. Thank you.
I'm too very frustrated. I tried for days to complete this Flipendo challenge and I just can't... A few greats, yes, but masterful? I think I never did one since I play this game and I stated at the beginning. And now not that I can't complete the main challenge, I can't do the bonus either. Very very disappointed... Please, never again.
Well they learned something ( even though they don’t pay attention to user feedback) they are loosing some great users. I wonder will they refund my money spent on the game as a fraud?
same here I am level 47, almost 48 and those flipendo are almost impossible to do. I have been trying for hours without success throwing trace potion and dawdle potion to maximise my chances..... If I can't complete that page just because of this I will quit the game.
EDIT: did not get it... bye bye HPWU. I predict a huge drop in the number of players which completed this event and a huge drop in the number of active players from now.
This makes me feel stupid playing this game everyday.. Do the people creating these task even play their own game? I got one masterful cast, mostly by luck, but not two. Maybe if they gave me another month to complete. Very disappointed with Niantic right now.

There is only one spell I have been able to cast as masterful and that's meterolinx recanto please rethink task four casting a masterful flipendo
Masterful flipendos??? The last weeks quests Niantic play with us. First use a lot extimulated potions before enemies event, now this quest...
