Not only is this event short, but now the app won't even load. I got kicked out during a fortress and now when I try to log in I get stuck on a frozen map.
This event is utterly impossible to complete, 5 great casts in a row? never been able to do that after 18 months of playing, fed up after 6 hours of trying to do this i reckon less than 1/2 of 1% of players will be able to do this... and its just not worth it, now that I cant complete an event and maintain my streak... well.. its not worth continuing so thats it for me pointless to make it so hard it cant be done especially as you also reduced it a day
It is possible to get the 5 great casts. I used 2 TfTDs, and managed to get it towards the end of the 2nd one. The right combination of traces and spells did it for me, and a lot of deep breathing to help me relax. Good luck! 🤞
Also do an easy fortress challenge (E3 to T1) when you get tired of failing. It helped me focus on trying to get the 5 greats in a row.
I'm guessing Professors already know this, but just in case. Higher level professors that get 4 focus and a 40 point det hex can complete chambers using zero spell energy. This is where you can find Formidable Foes.
You will burn through Runestones, but I have hundreds available, so that's what I do. Takes patience to engage the foe, don't attack and just let the Det Hex take it down 40 at a time.
@Hew1216 device is one of the reason for masterfull difficulties, i think the bigger the screen is will increase masterfull difficulty,
some say screen frame rate, and i also think perfectionist personality also hinder masterfull cast because HPWU tracing is all about speed over a perfect, accurate, and beatifully shape spell isnt it.
5 great spell casts in a row is just not do-able for me. Next time could it please be something like 5 great spell casts (total, not in a row)? I'm sorry I started this event, as I can't finish it, and probably the more worthwhile rewards are later.

But with brilliant events shortened and a continuous stream of tasks and tasks such as the 5 greats casts in a row I can count the number of excellent casts on one hand that I have ever done, I’ve had enough! It’s not fun and relaxing anymore and I lasted a year past when my daughter and her friends have quit the game.
Please playtest your game on a wider variety of devices. Until you start doing that, please leave "Great Casts in a Row" and "Masterful Casts" OUT OF the core tasks for your Brilliant events. The difficulty level of such tasks is completely device dependent. On top of that, they are extremely difficult - potentially impossible - for the mobility challenged on any device.
Yes, I understand that you have veteran players who are looking for a challenge. I understand that many of those players use devices on which Great and Masterful casts are easy. Great. Make a badge for "Longest Streak of Masterful Casts". Give it Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. Give those players a challenge. But keep it OUT of the core gameplay until you figure out how to keep the difficulty level consistent across devices. Otherwise, you are very likely going to lose players who don't enjoy being "left out" of the events and having half-finished Brilliant pages.
For those players whose challenge is their device rather than their mobility, take a look in your phone settings to see if there's an option to "increase sensitivity". Turning on that setting (which is NOT a default setting and not available on every phone) made all the difference in the world for me.
I finally got 5 great spells in a row, but because I took a break after 3 and did a wizard challenge, the number reset back to zero. Agh!!! So frustrating in the middle of the tasks. Couldn’t that have been a bonus task???
After 2 days i have only been able to get 1 masterful spell. This is obviously a glitche. I get plenty of great casts where they go all the way to the end of the scale. That should be a masterful. At this rate I am not even going to finish the 4 parts.
I just finished the Brilliant Event special assignments. Towards the end, I was so relieved that I finally get to relax until tomorrow. I enjoyed the event. Thank you very much 😊

Don't go into challenges when in the middle of the 5 great casts. This will reset your number.
Going into an oddity encounter will reset your 5 great casts in a row as well.

Run a TTD Cast while sitting, phone on a table with something nonslip under phone . Airplane mode can be your friend. Google pokemon go airplane mode😉
More keys rewarded for the 4 great spell casts in a row would be the honorable thing!!

is anyone else unable to get the 15th note fragment? I've been stuck at 14 despite returning 28 brilliants since getting the 4th set of challenges.
5 Great Spells resets if you return Oddity.
@adnisz i suggest focuse trace first if you want 5 great spells in a row.

In bonus task, do the exstimulos only count in challenges or is it for any use?

Any exstimulo used with, a map trace, an adversary, or in fortress battle counted.
I keep several basic exstimulo around to test with this sort of task.
Can we tweak up the spell energy on the map.... almost no existent and current almost 200 down.
