The Great Leprechaun Drought of 2020

I've been out for most of the two hours of "dusk" attempting to get Leprechauns for maybe 6 of the last 10 days. I've had 2 pop up in all that time.
Is this an incredible fluke or has anyone else noticed how incredibly rare they are now?

With oddities, there's periods where they are abundant and then there's periods where, despite "the known conditions" are met, nothing spawns.
For me, after quite a long period (weeks), vampires started to spawn again.
So hang in there, they will spawn eventually again.
Same boat. Been trying to find them like crazy. Only seen a couple in the last few months. Maybe because 2020 wasn’t the luckiest of years?
I wish I could send you half of the leprechauns that I see around here. They're like vermin.
I’d gladly swap you a 1000 leprechauns for 50 brown centaurs!

lepres want dawn or dusk and partly cloudy weather. if the weather's not partly cloudy and/or clear. If its rainy, overcast, snowy etc they wont spawn/appear. Furthermore during events (spotlights included) that dont boost them, all/most oddities spawns lessen (greatly). But, good luck! May the rng gods favour your hunt for the little green dudes!
It takes me months to get enough fragments to place an image of the leprechaun. But there are a lot more of them than the horned serpent and swooping evil.
If im not mistaken swooping evils are intentionally rare in the wild bc theyre in the 2.5km portk (5km non covid) or maybe the 10km I dont remember now which of the two. (when not boosted b/c of an event).
Horned serpent is biome locked and time of day locked. They appear dawn/dusk/night but you need to have either a rainy biome (I think its a certain amount of anual ##mm of rainfall and above) or rainy weather for dessert biomes. So, as an example if you live in San Fran. or Oregon or Washington state or Uk, Denmark etc type of environs. you should see serps almost every day at dawn/dusk/night. If you live in say Egypt or Athens (Greece) or LA etc then youre SOL and you need them either boosted in an event or for ingame weather to say rainy and even then theyre rare.
Outside of events boosting serpents Ive seen a grand total of 3 wild serps since day 1 launch of game.
@Drakonite even during boosted events, I rarely see the swooping evil. Last October, I did not see any. This spotlight event, I only got one using 3 TfTD.
yeah ttds can greatly rng varry, which sucks during covid measures/lockdowns etc. Hopefully once that -eventually- goes away and you/we can walk out and about again freely you can find many more :)
I am hoping swooping evil will be plentiful along the freeway during my 2 hour ride tomorrow. Will Tonic for Trace Detection work for me while being driven at 60 miles per hour? There are very few traces/ingredients on the map along the freeway, I have never tried using the Tonic for Trace Detection while in a moving vehicle.
TTD while on the move would be behind the avatar isnt it? But as long as its tappable it should be working for passanger player. 🤔
Rotating map/screen view facing backward would be helpfull before the traces gone because of distance.
