I have unlocked preferred client, opened over 150 trunks, and received 0 golden gifts. Anyone have any idea if I’m doing something wrong.? I have made sure that I have at least 12 gift spaces.

@Noboru73 Hopefully it’s probably just a string of bad luck which will end soon and you’ll get a gold gift. The gifts only show up in trunks opened from the exploration registry and they seem to have the same chance of appearing as the Trace charm. Keep at it with returning foundables and placing images and they should show up eventually. They currently look like the SE gifts but say ‘gold gift’ and appear right at the top of you ‘gifts to send’ list once you get one from a trunk.
It’s probably just bad RNG, but if you continue not to receive one, then it may be a glitch or bug. Fingers crossed you’ll get one soon though and that there’s no glitch/bug.
I thought it was 100 coins and the gift has a visual "glitch" that makes it look like a normal gift, if I recall the discussion on the discord correctly.
@Kodokmag@Caeleon the gift gives 100 gold coins and 1000xp. It looks like a regular blue SE gift at the moment, though I think the way it looks is probably going to change in a future update.

Is this a joke? Just unlocked this beliving this was gold for me i the trunks but noooo it's just a **** gift to send to people? That's a **** scam for the ammount of dada books it costs... I don't get squat from that...
@AltarielValice I have no issue with gifting, I’m saying I’ve not had one drop since I upgraded the task. I would like to give them in return but they have not dropped in any of the chests.
I realize this has been discussed before, but I think it bears repeating. Are you all aware that you must have an available gift slot in your “Gifts to Send” cache in order to receive a Gold gift? I did not understand this initially and lost a few. If your Gifts to Send cache reads 30/30 at the top of the page, there is no place for the Gold to go and you lose it. So make sure you always have a few empty slots before you play and check it periodically, as visits to Inns and Greenhouses can fill up those empty slots quickly.

@Slappy86fbg ummm.... maybe you should read the skill first. I clearly says that it is a gift. It even has the gift icon.

with gold borders and I have not gotten a gold gift to give. Now someone did send me one the other day.
I’m in the same position. At least it’s not just me. That said, it’s pretty rubbish. 😕

No need to be harsh on this. The description on the node clearly indicates that the gold gifts are well, gifts. Ingame, gifts are for gifting.
Alternatively, you can always set up a group of friends and send the gold gifts for gold gifts. Hence you open what you send out :)

It takes me at least 50 trunks to get a single gold gift. It definitely wasn't worth the number of books I had to spend to open it.
They are still dropping. The odds used to be about 5%, but they seemed to have dropped that down to about 2.5%, recently.
