@BaluzauBAERer Don’t blame Niantic as that is only the platform the game is run on. The events and game development is Portkey and WB.
Only thing I can hope for at this point is that they take that feedback for future events. I have seen the wit sharpening boosted since the last adversary event even in my last week of playing. And we have had some good events since then as well (12 Tasks of Christmas and Brillant Events).
@EaglesW as an auror with all feared adver nodes in (x75 dadas x2 nodes) I need 1 (maxed from sos both) potent and 1 wit and 0-1 healing potions and usually I'm left w 2-3 potent charges on the Hungarian (dragon). Sounds like youre either not maxed on feared nodes and/or not an auror. a magi needs less potions and more SE and a prof needs more extims than an auror but less healings and abt same SE as magi
Does anyone please know if it safe to buy coins/packages? Which I’m loathe to do but I’m out of energy and not in any way able to go out and get some xx
I was very excited for this event as I’ve completed all the other pages, but I’m unimpressed so far. Over 3 hours in and not a single adversary sighting. I thought they were going to be boosted, am I wrong? At least with other events I could use a TTD while stuck at home. I will continue to seek wit sharpening potions in the fortress, but this is disappointing.
@Nanapatnh adversaries dont and wont drop from ttds, only by walking, having a spawn location at your home or through edms (3 per). If you cant walk outside (covid measures), dont have a spawn location at home and cant afford $$$ = edms youre more or less SOL.
The drop rete for wit sharpening potions in fortresses must still be very low. I just did 30+ fortresses and no WSP. (I was careful to clear out space in my gifts.) Is there a preferred fortress level or runestone for these potions?
@Tdactyl Adversaries will only reward wit sharpening potions for your own use.
However the event task requires you to find two wit sharpening potion gifts that you can send to friends. You may find them in greenhouses or get them as a reward in Wizarding Challenges.
@Lycindelle if im not mistaken @hpwulola has said that any adversaries showing up from ttd and/or trace charm(s) are bugs that they (devs) intent to stop from happening. I've had some from TCs but none from TTDs.
4 hours into event and I'm finished except for needing the 2 wit sharpening potions and the 15 horntail frags. I've had several adversary battles but not a single horntail. It seems to me things haven't been boosted but lessened. Burned at least 2 EDM's as well but again nothing. I can't see why anyone would spend money on this when it's broken more times than working.

If I get up and move 50 metres (and interact with the map) all sorts of foundables pop up. It's the nature of the engine (same goes in POGO, people complaining about the spawns while they are immobile for hours)
My questions are
Where do fragments counters go for example Mummy, Sphinx...?
Why a dragon with 0 stamina attacks twice, then restores its stamina to 54? (it was not 54 before, feels like transaction messages got messed up)
Why do I randomly heal sometimes? Usually goes like this, I hit the foe without potion, the foe attacks, I use an exstimulo potion, then the foe attacks (sometimes 4 times because nasty game), and during its attack I heal.
Why the game mechanics are like: We attack in turns, no healing used, I am on 80-90% stamina, the foe is at 30% stamina, so with this pace I should win in 1-2 attacks, instead the foe attacks 3-4 times in a row (no chace to use healing potion) and wins?
@Radretired Not sure which chambers you are doing. I just did Forest IV twice and got a WSP gift on the second time. I have always had better luck with the higher chambers with getting WSP gifts.
Also since you just did a run of 30, your gifts are full again of runestone gifts. Make sure to clean out if you do try the higher chambers.

I've *never ever* got WS potion in the fortresses. What I find is WS gifts. That requires two empty gift slot (first is the guaranteed useless runestone gift), and friends who return a WS gift instead of sending useless simple runestone gifts.
WS potions sometimes drop from the adversaries battles. But that's like 1% for me so far.
Wow, had one dragon spawn... Moved around way too much, was only able to get one hit on it, then it would do multiple hits against me until it went on a crazy chain with no way for me to counter or push in a potion. Encounter failed, got nothing for the effort. This event could be fun if they fixed the spawn and tweaked the engagements a bit. As it is now, I'm not going to go out of my way to finish. Another part that I've lost interest in. I really want to see this game succeed, but frustrations continue to pile.
@Drakonite - you made me laugh. Yes, I am SOL. I meant that for other events (brilliants) I am able to use a ttd, but unfortunately they don’t work on these adversaries. I rarely see one at home (I live on the edge of the Everglades) and had hoped if they were boosted I could play from home.

Glad I was able to grind Adversaries this evening now that I just found out they cut this event by 24hrs. So not happy about that. I have been brewing potions to prep for this event since the last Adversaries event ended a month ago. I think it it is **** that you cut it short for CD because it overlapped by just a few locations. I would prefer the Adversaries event over CD. I already have that paged Gold and don't even plan to do CD on Saturday.
As other have stated this event is hard with it being during the work week, but now also cut down to 48 hrs. My goal was to get 350 DADA books during this event so I could get my Lethal Adversaries skill tree to 4-Star. I can only play a few hrs after work, and thought I would grind 100 DADA books a day. Now I have to try and find more time for an event that was cut short after it started and WB didn't bother to tell anyone.
@Radretired i am also hearing that if you do a chamber with a team, there seems to be more dropping.
I ended up doing Forest IV with a full team 3 times. I got a WSP gift 2 out of three times. However I will say RNG has seemed to be in my favor for WSPs as the last event I got 10 of them easily. Hope this helps!
So, I have surprisingly completed everything for this event, except the last task. I am 0 of 15 for the Hungarian horntail fragments. I have been to different areas, only have used one edm and completed 12 dark marks, 6 of them were Aragon, 1 Narcissa and the rest Draco and Fenrir. I thought Aragon had become the fragment target, I had so many I was able to prestige. I am running out of potions quickly, though I have truly stocked up as much as I could, and I am IOS, so even if I want to buy potions/extra cauldron, I couldn’t. It’s been slightly disappointing, any tips or tricks?
I finished the wit sharpening gifts in fortress chambers and above, 3 in a row pretty quickly.
I was also able to complete all tasks except the last. I have 4 put of 15 fragments, but have only used two EDM. I'll go out walking tomorrow and should be able to complete it then.
Fun event. Not as difficult as I thought. I am playing as Auror. I almost never use any potions on guards. Needed only a Potent and Healing on the dragon. Got lucky I guess.
These Adversary encounters really eat up the potions, don’t they? First day and my potion supply is almost gone. It would really be nice if Unicorn Hairs either weren’t so ridiculously expensive or weren’t so ridiculously hard to find. I used to find them regularly in Exstimulo Ingredient gifts and Brilliant, Precious, or Paramount Portkeys. Now they are pretty much never in gifts, rarely in Brilliant Portkeys, and I don’t know when I last picked up a Portmanteau that wasn’t a Prized one.
@Navik if you can't beat the dragon, leave the encounter after the sphinx, or even the spider - it will take more encounters to get to the 15 (8 lots of two fragments rather than four lots of four fragments from the full chain) but might save a lot of potions and frustration

Summary of defeating one single dragon in the adversaries:
* 3x health potion
* 3x most powerful exstimulo
* 2x whit sharpening (in combination with 2 of the 3 max exstimulos)
* A _ridiculous_ amount of energy
* Even with a load of perfect spells
And that was just for the dragon only!
(For its guards a relatively normal amount of spell energy was needed; more than non-adversary foes, which I can imagine though.)
Such massive attack on resources while currently at level 43 is tmho way too excessive.
No, this piece of the game is not interesting to me, so neither is the event.

@hpwulola move the CD to sunday (I dont begin to care about pogo) and extend the adversaries event to its full 72 hrs.

Maybe give it a try with the TTD anyways. From time to time I already had adversaries spawn through it.

But even though for me they did so a few times. I also had them showing up as additional traces after using trace charm.

Horcrux42 thanks for the information. I’ll try the higher chambers. I’ve been doing Ruins. I do routinely make space and delete gifts.

So far I've fought an amazing 5 Horntails and have earned 0 fragments. *cue massive frustration*
