I'd like to echo the comments about the rewards for Adversaries not being worth the cost. Wit Sharpening really does nothing. So I end up burning through Strong or Potent Estimulo and Healing. And get 500xp. Which I get regularly on high traces. Which don't use as many resources. And one DADA book per? It's not an incentive.

When are we going to be compensated for the dumpster fire that this event was? I, like many other players, didn't complete the event only because of the wit-sharpening gift rewards. We deserve to get the rewards from the event. I even ran a poll in Reddit to see how many other people were screwed over. HUNDREDS of players just from my small sample said it was the only thing preventing them from completing the event. ADDRESS THIS AND FIX IT. @hpwulola
Disappointing game play from adversaries. I've had 5 error out, returning me to the map with nothing to show for the potions and spell every wasted. When will this get fixed?
During the last event there was a task to find three wit sharpening gifts. I got one from a fortress chamber and probably did like 20+ without receiving anymore. I feel like other people were having the same issue. Are we getting a makeup event or at least the bonus rewards since we couldn’t complete it?
Adversaries, in general, are a poor return on investment. They take a lot of spell energy and potions and the rewards are really pathetic. And, as usual, it is frustrating and nearly impossible to acquire the spell books and restricted books needed to compete the training levels. Especially when the same books are needs for both combat and sos lessons. Who thought that was a good idea? Whoever it was, fire them because they are losing customers for you.
@RegulusPT That is caused by connectivity issues. Adversaries don't have a buffer for them, so it kicks you out, no matter how minor the connectivity issue is.
I have been kicked out of multiple encounters. They were against random foes and I had plenty of spell energy. I was excited to see a sphinx today but then got booted.
I've unfortunately become a pay to play wizard (ADHD & impulse control)... I am very upset because I keep getting booted from adversary encounters every 5 encounters or so.
I attack and then the adversary seemingly hesitates to attack me back at which point I get booted (& even restarting the app will not Re-reveal the adversary trace...) - I will not be spending a single cent on this game for the foreseeable future as a result. I can think of better ways to throw money away (such as literally throwing it away).
Come on.... all you have to do is test things before making them active.
Unlike many of the admirably high-achieving players here, I opted not to develop multiple professions, allowing my excess scrolls and red books to languish in their stacks. Thus, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they would help me jump the queue, so to speak, when the new combat training arrived. I had enough to advance to level 4 in both precision and dodge! I will tell you that, once at this level, adversaries are manageable. I can get through the first two foes, either without any potions or just one strong Extimulo. I generally use 1-2 wit-sharpening potions and 2-3 Extimulo on the final foe (Lockhart, Malfoy, Greyback). The basilisk, Narcissa, Pettigrew and dragons require more resources. I have yet to see Aragog. As others have said, endless casting gets boring. I use a lot of potions in my game play generally, and adversaries are no exception. But adversaries have opened up new goals for me: getting to gold gifts in SOS and getting to the bottom of the adversary tree. Good luck. Hang in there. It does get easier.
I didn't have quite as many spell books saved up as @ResurrectionIvy but enough to get to level 3 on both sides of the tree, opting to add level 4 precision last week. I have also starting upgrading my wit sharpening potion in the SOS training (which I hadn't touched at all). And I agree, it does get easier!
@Kodokmag same with draco and fenrir, basic on everything else. I've spent on dark marks a couple times since then but I won't spend all my coins because they're so potion heavy

Are you trying to get players to quit with the lack of customer support and the poorly designed features?

@hpwulola, for the third time, adversaries vanished after the second spell. Did it happen to anyone?Did anyone report this bug?

It's so frustrating, @Ladyhawk29! They are extremely rare...
@BenTiger, I have a stable connection with a 1 Gbps speed... Only with HPWU I have this kind of issues. Weird, isn't it? 🤔
This is the only event that I have been unable to complete. Day 1 player, way past level 60. Disappointed in the writers.
@RegulusPT happened to me too. not the first time either

Gold prestiged Draco today.
😱😱😱
I still at bronze. Slow pace with only found once adversary a day, sometimes once every two day.
