This is the second event that makes me want to quit.

The first event required that we find 3 wit sharpening gifts. Since there is only one nursery within 2 miles of our home (6 or 7 wizarding towers, even more inns) we had to drive more than 30 miles to hit enough nurseries to finally find 3 of the gifts for each of us. Now we are required to make two masterful casts in a roll. I used to make those on a regular basis. But rarely 2 in a roll. I have pretty much given up on this event. I will not complete it. My wife will not complete it. I am seriously thinking of quitting this game. I don’t have the time or desire to play this or any game 8 to 10 hours a day to complete these asinine events. And for those who think this is an easy assignment, I am 48th level and I think this task is stupid.

Totally agree! These 12 tasks are ridiculous. My husband and I will not even try to complete them. We have done selected tasks. This is the first time we have given up completing all tasks

What task is too hard in your opinion? I thought they were kinda easy and i would have completed them in a normal everyday playing, except maybe the tower5 or whatever it was since I usually play either ruins or d5. There is still a lot of time to do them.
Yes it seems to me the higher your level the less likely you are to be awarded Masterful casts, and for them to be accepted. Then to get them in a row? It is insane. This task set will not be completed as well for me. That makes 2 now in the last year or so for me. It has been days since any cast made has ranked above a great. Very disappointed in the progression of the game. I am not paying a cent to play this game any longer. Sad because I used to enjoy it and have spent a fair amount of money to play up to this point.
I've had no issue with the casts so I can't comment on people's struggles with that. However I am surprised that this is the problem task and no one is talking about 11 potents, those alone are more valuable than the rewards. I don't even brew them either, upgraded strong & normal potions are sufficient and far cheaper. Until you've spent the huge amount of DADA books required to upgrade the potent fully it doesn't make sense to use them. I haven't bothered to try and complete this event, it is ill-thought out. The rewards aren't worth getting out of bed for, I 've gotten 5 DADA books from adversaries during the event without doing any more than the daily 30-60 mins to do the tasks. 2 books for completing the event is no incentive whatsoever.
I have found a few of the tasks frustrating too - don't get me wrong I like a challenge but!
11 potent potions was a bit nuts, I had to spend all my coins for that but oh well. Wish they had made it any exstimulo.
Masterful I didn't think I was going to get - but it was a fluke I did (my trick was to do them very quickly) on quite a hard foundable too.
The one I am struggling to complete is 3 wizarding challenges in my highest chamber- for me that's Dark Chamber 111 and I struggle to do it on my own, but yet there's hardly anyone waiting to get in. Only once did I get in with someone else and we both got knocked out so lost time and then they went to finish them off but was probably a couple of spellcasts away from killing them off before we run out of time. Also had some people come in and then leave seconds before the counter was nearly done, not leaving me with enough time to leave and get my runestone back so I ended up going in on my own but didn't win. I guess I just need more potions (and to level up of course.) But not sure it's really worth the reward (one wit-sharpening potion) or even the bonus rewards - I've completed every other task.
The 3 wit sharpening gifts for last task was hard - I ended up going on a walk to all local greenhouses to get them and got caught in torrential rain. I didn't think it was a very "play from home" task - I never got any in wizarding challenges.
I suppose I'm biased from having the potents available to splash out on, but I found it just a bit more of an incentive or permission to be frivolous and use a potent or two on Dark Chamber V or when facing an adversary - where I might maybe have used them anyway and they save time and/or spell energy.
So, no I wouldn't have spent gold to get the minor reward, but personally I wasn't upset at all by the task.
I did take about four days to find any dancing trolls.
The three wit sharpening was on the other hand tedious, and one of the dark wizard events where the health on opponents seemed just too high to be fun when you needed to defeat so many.
I had same issue so I uninstalled then reinstalled the game. Jumped on the knight bus and got them after 4 or 5 chambers. I got one in dark chamber 1 and one in a tower chamber. The last time they did this I could not finish. But I did this time. I read somewhere to delete then reinstall the game so I tried it and it worked.
