2 *Masterful* Traces in a row? Really?

Well, it's nice to know up front that I can ignore the event tasks and just focus on the rare Foundables.
Dexterity seems to be getting more and more important in game elements, and that's sapping my enthusiasm.
Oh, and to make sure to grind out those Yule Ball programs in advance, as they won't be available from Fortresses when I need them.

thats relatively easy, all you need is a foundable with epublio or the weather confoundable(s) and its easy to get x2, even in a row if the thing resists.
as for the yule ball program it'll drop from portks during the event
If AS is still broken by then, the yule ball programs being in portkeys will not be at all helpful.
I agree, all it can take is a simple mistake to not get them in a row. Not to mention the lack of spell energy being placed on the ground where I live, which has gone down significantly over the last few weeks. Yet, the say these events are supposed to reflex stay at home. Kind of impossible if spell energy isn’t able to be found, unless you go out to inns or greenhouse , which goes against the play from home situation.
Two masterful traces will be achievable for most players but not in row!
Maybe you could even wait until the event starts before you start bashing the tasks. I consider the rare traces being the prize and the tasks being just Something I complete maybe when I'm catching. There are at least 1 aguamenti foundable boosted, the music box, and that's an easy masterful with a little bit of training. Maybe you could try to train to be better instead of whining, it would be more useful to everyone. Happy christmas.
I have only done 2-3 masterful spells since day one. So any tips appreciated.
focus, practice a lot, start of by doing them slowly. If you get better you can speed up. I find that aguamenti, ebublio en finite are the more easy ones to get a masterful on.
I can do great spells, but to get masterful, does it need to be faster vs less accurate?

I’ve managed a fair few Masterful casts in my time playing since the game launch, but I don’t think I ever did two in a row :(
For those saying it’s easy and stop whining, please be more considerate to fellow game players who perhaps don’t have the time to spend hours on end practicing, or those who might have more difficulty with physical dexterity (possibly medical reasons).
it’s a very tough challenge and yet another likely impossible task for some of us, other than getting remarkably lucky.
i agree it stresses me out with the constant half full back to empty every time i do a masterful cast. makes the whole event unenjoyable. this is how they ruined pokémon go everts by requiring excellent throws in a row. Two masterful casts when it is freezing cold outside is hard enough but in a row is just stupid.
I actually liked the `perform 2 masterful spell casts in a row` task. It added some more excitement to the event imo. As soon as the event started I gave that task the priority, since the other tasks are like a walk in the park. It took a bit more concentration and I was being picky when selecting a foundable. Finished that task in no time...
This was hard for me but i literally just got it.
For me - the Fred & Angelina at the Yule Ball got a bunch of Masterfuls easily but it was tougher in a row because i got nervous haha. The Finite spell was super easy to Masterful but it dodnt stick around for 2 tries and its been hard to find a 2nd Finite Foundable.
Ultimately though i was able to get it on the RED color H Foundable with Hermione & Viktor Krum Yule Ball half hourglass looking one. Forgot what spell it was.
I didnt have a potion but Id imagine that having Estimulo potions on makes it easier to get to the Masterful end as it makes the Green Bar larger but you still have to make it to the end.
I put on a Tonic for Trace potion just to increase my spawn rate(to try to get the Foubdables with the spells I was looking for).

@Morganza , @Notagingermugg I found if I take a screenshot of each spell then I can practice it to get the muscle memory and do better at casting spells. Good luck.
I thought 2 masterful traces in a row was impossible. I left it as the last task to do. Twice I succeeded to get one but failed the second trace. And it erased my first successful attempt.
Finally I managed to do it, yay!!! It wasn't that difficult afterall.
So happy I could complete the event. Happy trying, guys!! You can do it!! :)
@PiggieGranger : Potions, levels, and buffs change the color (and thus power) of your spell cast bar but don't seem affect where the lines are drawn between Fair/Good/Great/Masterful
I don't get a lot of Masterful traces, but yesterday I got one on Expecto Patronum (the big spiral). I get a fair number of Greats on that, too.
Funny how all the annoying people who keep saying "Masterful traces are easy if you just try a little harder" don't ever mention that one. Hm, maybe it's because I'm left-handed.
Still no luck and **** 150+ traces a day
It’s the only task I have left and I can count on one hand the number of masterful spells I’ve made since the game started 😡
I spent hours in the hospital practicing, so that's not it. You don't have visitors to disturb you, so I had plenty of time to read the tips (Thank you!), get a stylus or 3, try different positions, angles, grips, holders, well I had a lot of time on my hands.
Wizards has been phenomenal in helping return my fine motor skills, and I am truly grateful for the progress I have made in becoming a [email protected] Magizoologist.
But as a Parkinsons patient with a history of both a brain aneurysm and bilateral TGN, back to back Masterfuls ain't happening.
Just writing this took me 1/2 hr. Can you imagine the focus and concentration a Great takes me?
I am not whiny. I am realistic. I have spent ridiculous amounts of money practicing. I was thrilled to finally have worthy Adversaries to challenge me. Yes, I can trounce Narcissa. But I can't beat the facts, Jack.

2 DADAs arent worth 11 potents, spend 11 potents in adversaries and you get a minimum of 11 DADAs (plus whatever extras in the guardians and from subsequent image placements). If youre doing this event's tasks solely for the 2 DADAs it is NOT worth it if you can't find adversaries to spend the potents on. Potents in forts are 100% wasted.
I have a physical disability that prevents me from performing "masterful" casts. The entire time I've been playing the game (since it came out) I've gotten TWO IN TOTAL. 😡
Leighton I hear you. I have to borrow friends even when there are a lot of Greats in a 1 day event. My hands can not hold a phone that long, much less draw the required sigil. Well, deleting this app will save me money, time, and sleep. Probably for the best
Add me to the list of people who has tried all kinds of things and can't do this and is frustrated. Hard is one thing, impossible (for many of us) is another. One piece of advice I was given was to make a cardboard template to put over my phone. Apparently this task is viewed by some as insurmountable without cheating.
Add in the insult of the masterful casts being rejected and then getting the trace completed with a great or less. I too am a bit exasperated here.
I am with you on this. My manual dexterity sucks. I have been visually impaired all my life. I play games like this in the hope of not needing physical coordination. I have been reporting issues with the clean sweep events in Hogwarts mystery every time for the same reason. I have never gotten a masterful cast, and managing tasks for great casts is one heck of a challenge for me. I might look like a noob from my post count, but I have been playing for over a year.
In most games, there is at least an option to "buy" a skip on a task we are unable to complete. It sucks to have to miss out on the rewards after busting my rear to complete all of the other tasks.
I play the game as an amusement. I am so disappointed that one must be an expert to complete a challenge. Let me play as I want. I do not want t be the master at masterful spells. Please consider giving an option such as 2 in a row for the expert gamers and 10 or even 15 masterful total to those of us enjoying the game. It is frustrating.
Count me as another person who has dexterity issues and couldn't do two masterful casts, much less in a row!
I realized I wouldn't be able to do it, and so didn't do the "hardest chamber" task.
Months ago, when there was a task of "two great casts in a row", I eventually managed to get that one done. Masterful is too much, though.
