I have never commented on this forum. Never have I complained to Support. It this was absolutely ridiculous. I tried everything - esp. in the final two hours. After clearing through all my resources in challenges in higher chambers, visiting many greenhouses - not a single potion to be found. I earned two wit potions during my adversary battles but they did not count. None of the wit potions gifts that I revived were counted. Something needs to be done. This was total ****.

While many people struggled with the infinitesimal drop rate for this task, I'm seeing a lot of comments from people like you who didn't understand that what they needed to do was earn gifts to send to their friends.
Not receive potions. Not open gifts. Earn gifts from Greenhouses or Fortresses that they could send to their friends (during or after the event.)
This challenge just felt like it was impossible - the 2 days I spent at Greenhouses and in battles was such a waste. Was there a technical glitch? The 3rd gift was super elusive and i only know one person that was able to get it.
I had the same problem. I would earn a wit potion but it didn't count them. Your event s#[email protected] niantic
