What is the challenge " get 3 (name of the green potion used in battles) gifts"? what are these gifts?? i completed remaining challenges and still got 3 gifts? is intended one of that potion ingredient???
The wit potion gifts supposedly should be rewarded at the fortresses or through visiting green houses. But so far how ever many green houses I've visited, I've received only 1 potion gift from a green house yesterday and none from probably close to 20 fortresses rooms. Still have to obtain two. We are having stormy weather here, not sure how this task should be accomplished. Top it with our county being in "red covid 19" allert, makes this mission impossible. Good luck to you!
Just braved the outsides and COVID to visit a greenhouse. Wife got a wit-sharpening gift. I received an ingredient gift. After 60 night bus challenges I only get rune stone gifts. The drop rate on wit-sharpening gifts must be 1 in 10,000 tries. So stupid to make these gifts so rare when they are required for an event. Why weren't theses gifts dropped with the dark mark challenges?
I’ve got at least 5 wit sharp potions from the adversary fights, but they obviously don’t count in the event. Nothing from fortress fights or greenhouses. What’s the catch???

Same here. Not a single one. Almost out of runestones. Tempted to go and sit under a greenhouse, but it's cold outside 😢 I really don't want to fail this event but at this point it seems inevitable
After many hours of fortresses, I still sit at retrieving only 1 wit gift. NIANTIC, please fire whoever thinks players want this game to be very very difficult. This may be the second event I am unable to finish. Being level 60 doesn't even help.
Hi, I believe you are mentioning the Wit-sharpening gift task from the Adversaries Event?
These normally are a chance drop at greenhouses, but can also be randomly dropped as rewards for winning a knight bus chamber fight. (Although some of us are having difficulty finding them on the KB...)
Another one here frustrated at the total lack of drops of these things. What's the point of putting in a "challenge" that relies on a random drop rate, especially in the middle of a pandemic?
Utter waste of time and effort. Also not great for some of us disabled players, even if there wasn't a pandemic causing large chunks of the world to be under a stay at home order of some description. I'm just accepting that these days, incomplete assignments are becoming the norm, whether through bugs, poorly considered game mechanics, or my favourite: the everything goes black on the special assignments page with 90 minutes to the end of the event, and the download of assets that caused this takes forever to download so you're still blocked at the end of the event. Ah well.
@meelzebub this game has never been kind to us disabled players and they claim it's adapted for stay at home but it's clearly not. Never has been. This task is a complete joke and waste of time cause I've been basically glued to my phone since it started trying to get them via knight bus, and also blowing through all potions (I had tons prior to starting). I can't go out, especially now, so I just can't finish I guess😒
Found my last WSP gift on the KB today tower V with a team of 5-all 3 professions.
Tips that I think may help:
Make sure you've cleaned out your gifts and deleted a bunch of low value gifts (ingredients, SE, runestone)
Then exit game and clear cache for the game. Restart your device and game and go straight into KB.
Find a mid-level chamber and play in teams of at least 4 with all professions.
I had no luck in ruins or dark chambers. My previous 2 WSPG were found in Forest 2. It seemed that I got them after I had left the game for awhile ( ie: 3rd game this morning got me my last gift).
(Also, I've downloaded all assets previously. Not sure if that would impact since KB play is on their servers though. )
Anyone else haved thoughts? This was such a hard task!

@parrishblue. great tips these 2: free space, in fact i didnt even knew what was intended for gift and i never can think i must free space for it. and 2nd tip: use midrange chambers. removed some gifts and did 2 forest1 battles. got 2 gifts in a row! later ill get 3rd as i went out of healing potions

Yes, it's literally sent to where all of the gifts are given/received. Unfortunately, even if u manage to receive them, there's a glitch or bug or something preventing u from keeping them. Which means no one can win this challenge and get the rewards, even if that's the only thing left. I know it's received as a gift in the gifting lives. I managed to get 1 to save. So I only needed 2 more, but despite getting that many a few times (I think I received like 8 or 9, altogether). I don't know why it would only save 1,especially because the challenge was 3. I don't know, it's just buggy at the moment,...
I've completed everything apart from the 3 whit sharpening gifts, not got a single one throughout this whole event. Very disappointing start to this new game feature.

In a thread that has since been deleted HPWULola mentioned that the event was designed with the intention that most players be able to complete this task from the Knight Bus; I saw several reports that in the last hour of the event the drop rate increased significantly.
I wasn't able to get the gifts to drop from Forest or Tower levels even in the last hour of the event but drove to a parking lot with 2 Greenhouses in range and got 3 in ten tries (and a few more after the event ended), much better than the zero I got from Greenhouses in the first 71 hours of the event.

ok yes ive read other threads regarding this issue. however i still dont understand. is it intended as ingredients? why are so called GIFTS???
Sorry, it must be a regional issue. I got all 3 awarded from fortress battles.
The Wit-Sharpening gifts are new to send to your friends, just as the Runestone and Energy gifts.
(And the new Wizard XP and some I forgot their names)
Would be nice if they had a reasonable drop rate but after several greenhouse visits and almost 100 fortress battles I still need all 3 "finds"

I got gift capped today, plus a whole bunch of fortresses and greenhouses Friday, and am stuck at 2/3.
If the gifts are so rare that people can't assume they'll get 3 in over 100, why is this even a task?
I still haven't gotten a single one with doing over 30 challenges and hitting all the greenhouses around me
@XpanderFX Gifts are things one obtains visiting green House and inns, or winning fortress chamber. One can send those gifts to Friends in the list.
Gifts one receives do not count for the task, I assume.

They can be rewarded in fortresses in addition to the runestone gifts or in greenhouses.

Wit sharpening gifts have dropped today. Hoping all of the comments had the effect of getting the fix.
Have been playing most of the day today, have only received one so far from a Greenhouse. Zero from Knight bus. Any suggestions?
