Wit Sharpening gifts

I have been playing the adversaries, going to greenhouses, going to inns, doing the wizarding challenges, as well as completing my SOS assignments and I have found many of the wit sharpening gifts for the research and I have even received, from friends, several of the wit sharpening gifts yet that part of my research only shows that I have found two! I just took a picture of the last wit sharpening gift that I found and then I went to my friends and received another wit sharpening gift and yet my research still says I only found two! Why is it not recording when you find the gifts so you can finish the research and get all the items we are to receive upon completion?

The quest is to obtain gifts to give away, not to receive them from friends.
I obtained more than 3, it only registered 1. I filled a bug report, hopefully we can still get our rewards, we deserve them. It's not our fault that there's bugs crawling through the game, we don't even know those bugs, I'm sorry, my poor attempt at humor. For the record, just in case because I'd be mortified knowing someone out there thinks that I know it's a different type of bug, it's also technology. Lol, I've had a stressful night, my high school sweetheart, I guess is an apt description. We dated 5 years, anyway we're both married and haven't spoken in years just because,.. Life. Also, living in different states, etc. He died of covid, he's only 33
