Let me add to the complaints about the Wit Sharpening potion. I received two from friends, and saw one show up from a fortress battle, yet I have NO CREDIT for any of them. I've done about 20 Fortress battles, all at Forest IV or higher, 23 Adversary challenges, and have been refilling my energy from a Greenhouse. Based on what I have seen, it's impossible to "Find 3 Wit-sharpening gifts."
I can't believe Niantic doesn't expect people to be very unhappy if we are denied completion of this Wizarding Weekend (or whatever it is called), simply because they aren't giving a reasonable chance to complete it.
I've taken down Malfoy 8 times, Fenrir 10 times, Gilderoy twice (and he's tougher than you would expect considering what a **** he is in the movie), Aragog once, Pettigrew once, and Ancient Norwegian Ridgeback once. I assume the Ridgeback is a Lethal. I needed 4 healing potions and 3 Strong Extimulos to get past it. (If it is not Lethal, you need to nerf it down. It's MUCH tougher than any of the others.)
No garanteed drop from GH :/ I've done a bit over 120 wizarding challenge run between yesterday and today plus like 10 GH pickup and I only have one of the 3 needed Wit Sharp gift :/
Still not able to claim the free gift or purchase any bundles/ energy. I consumed an edible but cannot accumulate enough energy to combat the adversaries within the time allowed so that was wasted. Please fix the bug!
I'm done with trying to find these gifts now. I've burned through a good 400 energy tonight doing challenges which is probably worth more than the rewards. Considering that each adversary chain gives us a DADA book missing 5 of them isn't upsetting. And an edm which I'll probably not use because the encounters are too resource intensive, I'll probably just fight the random spawns as and when. Other than that I've been enjoying the event.
By the way, as long as EDM cannot be brewed, adversaries are not a feature playable from home (unless for the few people who live in a place with lots of spawns)
Not gonna finish. Don't have time to go to parks and wait for greenhouses that might give me Wit potion. If the Wit Giftw don't load in my regular daily runs (and they have before this weekend), then it's not worth it to me to sit for hours waiting for the few greenhouses in the area to refresh.
Also, Wit potion doesn't work for me. Not with challenges or adversaries.
Also, it's just not worth it playing challenges with teammates who don't know the rules. Especially Aurors who don't give focus to a prof when we start. Doesn't even have to be me. Just some focus to a prof so we can all be buffed.
Dozens of fortress battles so far. Still zero wit potions and plenty of gift space. Friends all having same issues. If this isnt broke it has to be the dumbest task to date. Why implement such a low drop rate. Are you wanting people to just give up on this event and vent in here.
Adversaries are really cool and defo will enjoy the format in future months but seriously, please check and fix the drop rate so that we can all finish this event.

Please fix the glitch. I'm a day one player. I have room in my gift list. I spin every greenhouse (and plant seeds, I'm 11 away from completion). I received 1 WSP in 2 days. Unacceptable, when RSBs are involved.
For those previously concerned about the cost of EDMs, it looks like they are dropping as adversary rewards with decent regularity - after this weekend's event I now have 5 saved up.
@Gatorella try reporting it in app maybe? you get a bot and it closes the ticket but just resubmit it again. i did that a few times and, miraculously, I finally got all three gifts about a half hour ago after not getting a thing all weekend. It's ridiculous but worth a shot maybe? sorry you're struggling

I vaguely remembered using a baruffio earlier, which is something I stopped doing since reaching level 60 but it does speed up getting xp from wizarding challenges.
So I did again this morning, used an edm, and got the last fragment at the third or fourth challenge
Posted yesterday, and even though been chipping away in fortresses via the knight bus, still yet to get my first wit potion gift.. utterly ridiculous to have a task based purely on luck and one with such low chances it seems. What is most frustrating is that Niantic are just completely ignoring the plethora of comments across all social media channels afaict... why hasn't anyone jumped in to try and confirm exactly what needs to happen or if there is a bug that they can't fix so we can all just stop bothering with the event and we can stop wasting our runestones. Not everyone lives in a city near a greenhouse, and for many of us, we can't/shouldn't leave our homes anyway!.
@hpwulola can you please speak up and give us some insight to what is going on as the hours are most definitely running out on this event. It is a shame to tarnish such a good start with adversaries to something as stupid as a stuck task that many of us can't complete..
Not a single Wit Sharpening Gift yet, from fortresses or adversaries. The drop rate on these should have been 100% on adversaries and at least 80% on fortresses, for stay-at-home players to have any chance of completing this.
Yep it is a shame that we seem to just have a complete wall of silence on this.. I do hope that post event they work out from their data all those that got stuck on this one last task, find the obvious bug that is causing it and reward those the event rewards anyway.
That's the issue when you do a event during the week end. Most of the team are off duty. So if there's a bug the reduced teams on standby can eventualy fix it but if there's a design flaw they may not be able to make a decision...

A wider point on adversaries, is there any point in getting say 10 challenge family points when the higher cap means you (after a lot of fortress visits) end up needing 3.8k to get anywhere and even the low chambers kick out quite a lot more, for an easier fight, than the adversaries?

300 wizard challenges and only 2 wit-sharpening gifts. I failed to complete the challenge but you can't say I didn't try.

Everything done but gifts. I have used numerous gold, numerous spell energy, numerous potions! These gifts are not to be found! So frustrated.

@joffonon You can't get the required gifts from adversaries. You can only get them as additional drop from fortress challenges or from greenhouses.
reported an issue in app as suggested and was thrown out of that because it said I wasn’t logged in and I was. No answers! We are just being ignored
