i second that @hpwulola I haven't gotten a single one and I've gone through hundreds of runestones of different chamber tiers including dark v. something isn't right
All tasks done but still yet to get any wit gifts from fortress even though plenty of space for gifts. Please can this be investigated @hpwulola as there are plenty of us all stuck on this so it can’t just be bad luck. I was getting wit gifts just fine in the week. Nothing since event started.
Add me to the list of people who got wit sharpening gifts BEFORE the event, but can’t scrounge one up now. Just drove around town and harvested greenhouses about 20 times, and neither my husband nor I found a single one. I’ve done several dozen fortress battles throughout day and I’m still at 0.

Same here, i got 3 gift with potions BEFORE the event, since the start of the event I visited tons of greenhpuses and like a hundread fortress battles and no single one witt sharpening gift. I have clean my gifts several times to have space available always.
Got a fix. I deleted the game and reinstalled and got two gifts in the first 3 fortresses. Then nothing for like 10 fortreses more. Un8nstall the game again and reinstall it, and got the 3th gift int the very next fight. I hope this help you guys to get ur gifts and the developers to find the bug. @hpwulola
In 2 days I have been to over 45 green houses (yes, seriously) and have finished every other task and still have not seen any wit-sharpen potion gifts. What gives? That is the only task I have left and still can’t find them. Help?
@Cassasauresrex I was able to make purchases by using my iPad to login to the game. Still can buy anything with my iPhone. By the way, you can also use the help / chat feature and they can do the transaction for you.
I feel silly continuing to try for the wit sharpening potion. I think I’m just going to accept that I won’t finish this one and continue to play as if there wasn’t an event.

Try restarting the game just before doing a fortress or collecting a GH, it worked for my last two wit sharp gifts (It may be a coincidence but it's worth trying)

I did as @Flacoman suggested. I uninstalled the game, and reinstalled it. I still did not get any Wit-Sharpening gift as a reward in any of the fortress challenges that I just did. I will attempt again after a long sleep. Or I can just be satisfied defeating the feared Adversaries and their guards since I can't get anyone to drive me over to the greenhouses.
I do like the DADA books that I got as a reward. I just wish I could collect more ginger on the map so I can brew more Wit-Sharpening Potions. I already used up more than 20 of them; and I only used one Wit-Sharpening Potion per Adversary, not the guards.
So, day three of the event - and still no wit-sharpening gifts - this is a joke. Plus, I start a battle chain and get a black screen after the first or second adversary. Playing on WiFi. What gives??
It's impossible to complete the task Find 3 wit-sharpening gift... Before the event I found lot of these gifts, now nothing... I fought more than 40 battles in Knight bus and nothing...
Having the same issue as others—have completely finished the quest except for wit sharpening potions. Have played tons of challenges and hit tons of greenhouses and still haven’t even gotten one!

I add to the list of complaints. I've recieved one wit-sharpening gift from a green house, yet it didn't count. I have visisted/completed some 50+ grow houses, inn's, fortresses and fought in some 20 adversary battles. Still 0/3 wit sharpening potions found in the challenge. I always make sure that i have open slots in my gift rack, saving only the energy one's.
How about ANY response regarding this from Niantic/WBGames//PortKeyGames?! I sincerely hope that none of you players spend a single dime on in-game credits for these crooks. I, shamefully have prior to this but no more I tell you. Disgraceful.
Totally bored with this event. Used too much spell energy, potions, phone power and time trying to find wit potions. Just feel foolish now. Quitting with one potion left to find and going to do something more productive.
I had been finding this much the same - but then had a run of luck from Sunday afternoon. Fingers crossed it was a behind the scenes update to make this easier for all.
Now just to find a way to get enough spell books to move lessons forward - I foolishly have professor and magizoologist at about 90% complete and auror at about 60% - needing 3k challenge points for two books and a lot of books for progress will make it slow (unless the chance of spellbooks in treasure chests goes up from the 0.something to a few percent...)

Spent much of yesterday and Friday doing nothing other than fortress challenges, dumping gifts when I'd fill up, doing more fortress challenges and gosh knows how many adversary challenges. NO wit potion gifts. From ruins to dark, alone and with a crew. I can't spend all day today on this game and shouldn't have done so yesterday. I have a house to clean, a farm to care for, and the Covid cases are currently surging here faster than any other state so I won't be visiting any parks or malls to find greenhouses thanks. Someone needs to address this issue. There aren't a lot of people posting about it here, but the event announcement on Facebook has hundreds. I have 2 tasks left. I've earned the freebie dark mark, but I'm not going to use it for a reward of 2 armadillo biles if I'm not going to be able to find Wit gifts to complete the assignments anyway. This really does need to be fixed. I'm using a Samsung S10 +, if that helps.
I'm starting to think if it isn't a bug, cause clearly some people are getting them, they did it this way purposely so that some wouldn't finish. If you have to do that to make it "harder" for more hardcore players then that is a joke. I even as a last resort uninstalled and reinstalled and STILL nothing
I finally got my third gift. It was painful. I did loads of challenges and went to a lot of greenhouses. I got one in a greenhouse today. Pure chance.
The other two I got in challenges. One Friday and one today. I spent all day yesterday doing challenges. But I saw on the forum that a few people mentioned getting them if they did challenges with other people so today I made sure to join a group and it worked.
The two gifts I got from challenges were when I had a full team. I don’t know if this will help anyone. I just said I’d post it in case. I do feel that I had to do too much to get my three gifts and genuinely feel annoyed for everyone still trying.

Very frustrating not to be able to get wit-sharpening gifts. Like others, have done plenty of wizard of challenges with 0 gifts. And we are in #SAH order so I can’t go out to a greenhouse even if I had one nearby. Argh.
Along with many of you, still struggling to receive any wit sharpening potions as gifts despite multiple attempts at green houses and wizarding challenges. The only "extra" rewards I am getting are energy. No gifts at all since this adversary roll out.
A second day with no wit sharpening gifts. I chanted aloud every ingredient that I received, to make sure there was room for a gift. Nothing, for one hour of spinning. I wouldn't bother except for t he RSBs.
I have received dozens of wit sharpening potions. From adversaries, friends, fortress - and I now have 2/3, after having played about 10-15 hours
This is a ridiculous bug, and although I was very excited with the 5 dada reward for completing the event, I have received a few hundred now after having played so much. So I find myself mulling... yet would be very disheartened without completing the event - that would be a very first

After another day of playing more than 150 fortress-battles still only one Wit-Sharpening-Gift.

the wit potion gift scarce-ness is kind of odd isnt it.
is there a possibility there's also overall limitation to given out gift (server side), such as maybe like x gift/per day to all player.

I doubt I'll complete the event either I've got one wit gift so far. Just completed dark 5 and a ruinstone gift :(
