I think it would be immensely helpful to change at least one of the potion rewards to field guides instead of scrolls, and likewise the granian hairs for perhaps a random ingredient. Adding other currencies like keys or dark detectors would also be very welcome!
On that note, the ability to "forge", say a spell book from 100 scrolls and a restricted section book from 100 spell books or something like this, and parallel that with field guides to Ministry Manuals to Dada Books would also be rather welcome.

Yes, most of us have thousands of scrolls sitting there. How about switching scrolls for snowdrops?
If the transaction could be balanced in game play, I would concur. Pages tend to accumulate with no way to utilize them.
