it makes no sense for them to wait so long, any hype theyve built w notes and youtubers and such will long since gone, imo theyll release this week before friday and force update every1 by monday to release feature(s) by week's end.
@hpwulola Since there appears to be three separate lesson plans, all with high costs to get all the skills, are we going to ge getting more ways to earn RSB, along with the DADA books?
Since Professors don't benefit from their skills during the duels, they are at a very high disadvantage. Aurors and Magizoologists have much better passive skills that mean that they both deal higher damage than Professors. Magizoologists also have higher defenses, thus making it so they can deal more damage and take more hits than Professors.
Aurors deal slightly less damage than Magizoologists, but their chance to perform critical hits means that they will be dealing the most damage. They take more damage than Professors, but the damage output more than makes up for that.
So, if someone chooses to be a Professor, because they enjoy using the class in challenges, now they will be at a massive disadvantage for what will be a major aspect of the game, due to needing so many DADA books. If you want to continue to play as a Professor in challenges, you will have to master at least two professions, including the base lesson plan and the new combat lesson plan. Either that or you better be prepared to need to use substantially more potions in order to not have to change professions, in order to complete duels.
Professors already have to spend almost double the amount of RSB, in order to max their profession. Now, they have to spend more to max a second profession, as well as finish their S.O.S. skill tree. We need a way to earn the additional RSB required, otherwise Professors are going to die out, since the requirements are far too high, compared to other professions.
My first maxed profession was professor, I later maxed auror. But even though I prefer challenges as a professor, I have zero intention of leveling up professor for this new combat. It is too costly and we don't do enough damage to make it worth it unless you even the playing field somehow.
@BenTiger from datamined info it seems like adversaries will have deficient/proficient vs dif professions and most of them will be professor proficient, so while i do agree with what youre saying, it seems like at least a prof will be proficient against most advers.
also im not sure if its x3 new plans and not 1 shared, if you look all 3 have the exast same names, requirements and descriptions, so I think its 1 shared plan, 1 plan the wizard/witch does regardless of if they are aurors/magizs or profs, which is probs why you need to have 1 lesson plan/profession maxed out to see the new plan(s) and not all 3. I could be wrong tho, if im not wrong the rsbs requirements are small: 1+1 + 2+2 +3+3 (the two paths before merging) so 2+4+6=16 that's 1 week BE + 1 rsb. at worst its that x3 so a month and a half to have all 3 plans' rsbs finished. Dadas are much bigger a problem especially considering its sounding like catch 22, you need the plan to get adversaries but you need adversaries to get the dadas to get the plan....
ofc if its not 1 plan shared and its 3 plans the DADA requirements (in addition to sos if anyone wants to max out those 3 trees) are beyond ludicrous so the adversaries better be dropping DADAs like there's no tomorrow
it will but we dont know the frequency or the quantity o it and to complete all 3 sos trees you need almost 1.7k dada books and if its 3 and not 1 shared new adversary plans you'll need another 1.#k books, so unless adversary battles and rank ups give DADAs like theyre candy.....its going to be somewhere between insane and impossible.
I'm assuming that if we have completed a challenge profession, the Advanced Adversarial Combat nodes will open up automatically. Yes? I am seeing things start to appear, but not seeing it live yet.
I'm sorta bummed that I spent all my red books trying to advance my third profession.
I am max Prof and Auror, so it looks like I should choose Auror for the next lesson plan. I find they do MUCH better on Oddities and Adversaries look like a cross between Oddities and Fortress Foes.
I've never been a fan of Wit Sharpening and almost never brew it or keep ingredients even. Prefer to just use Ex potions. Boosted Ex potions seem to take care of elite foes much better and managing Wit just doesn't seem worth it. Wondering if Wit will do more against Adversaries, but not holding my breath.
@Not4u13 I agree about Wit Sharpening potion. It took me a while to figure out it was for elite foes. Then I tried it and it didn't do anything, as far as I could tell. I never brew it. I just have what I get as a reward.
So, my combat book is complete but the adversaries book will not allow it to be opened because it says I needs to complete the other first? I think there is something wrong.....
@Theegalahadsgir Apparently, you just made a post, without reading the dozens of answers for your question that are already posted... so here it is, again... The skills are locked until the adversary event. Check your special assignments for the timer.

they are mentioned in the one that ron and his fam go to egypt after winning whatev and he mentions some stuff in his letter to Harry, but beyond that if they went with only what was in the books theyd have been out of content a month after release.
Hi, has anyone heard any news on how the Adversaries event will run? My SOS newsletter is down... (I know that a lot of us have this bug from the update)... so if anyone has details :) Thanks
Comments
Im not sure edm will be a potion recipe or free.
@Yohanes12 Where does it say that the update is in January? I believe that the update will be in this month.
@Doztem you'll see in next SOS report on next week.
@Drakonite there's two ways, buy or brew potions.
Will we be able to brew them? Ive kind of gotten the idea theyll be shop only
it makes no sense for them to wait so long, any hype theyve built w notes and youtubers and such will long since gone, imo theyll release this week before friday and force update every1 by monday to release feature(s) by week's end.
@Drakonite I sure hope so but I keep telling myself in the new year, just to be safe😂
cant argue w that 😂
The amount of DADA books you are requiring to complete the new skill trees is massive. I really hope you're planning to make them easier to get.
how you guys now those numbers, percentages, requirements? is it already release?
@Kodokmag the update is available in the app store, you can see (but not access) the new lesson plans
@Klc5048 ah yes, just saw it in playstore.

Isnt it the new adversary page will have DADA reward just like challenge page?
I think i read that somewhere
it will but we dont know the frequency or the quantity o it and to complete all 3 sos trees you need almost 1.7k dada books and if its 3 and not 1 shared new adversary plans you'll need another 1.#k books, so unless adversary battles and rank ups give DADAs like theyre candy.....its going to be somewhere between insane and impossible.

I’M SOOOO EXCITED !!!!
Sorry, just really want to start battling these adversaries. Can’t wait until next week... 😂😇
@VoiceMaster theyve not been unlocked yet.

Looking forward to doing battle!

Why Sphinx and a mummy as adversaries??
They’re not in the books.
they are mentioned in the one that ron and his fam go to egypt after winning whatev and he mentions some stuff in his letter to Harry, but beyond that if they went with only what was in the books theyd have been out of content a month after release.
Isn't it a sphinx challenging Harry with a riddle in the maze of the fourth book?
Hi, has anyone heard any news on how the Adversaries event will run? My SOS newsletter is down... (I know that a lot of us have this bug from the update)... so if anyone has details :) Thanks
everyone's is down, new bug. And no one knows anymore info other than that image above.
i’m afraid to click. Anyone tried yet?
