The preceding and succeeding rates of finding the other mystery items have me convinced that in my specific case on an IphoneX my major gap from 5 July to 4 November was caused by Penelope’s wand - assuming each mystery item is earned in order and gated by the quests to find some of the items. Its also possible that if the L5T/RR timeline is reached before the preceding non-quest items drop that the system hangs up on awarding the player with the next piece in the overall registry series.
Best of luck on the troubleshoot - and kudos to the patient users who keep scratching on this lottery ticket!
I keep searching and searching online for a solution to this, but all I find are others in the same position I am. I am level 23 and still stuck on the 5th task list waiting for the London Five Transcript Mystery Object and the Redacted Report Mystery Object.
Has anyone heard anything from support on this issue?

I started playing November 2019 then stopped for a few months and have been playing regularly since earlier this year. I have been stuck on this assignment since then.
I've been playing for months, and have not been able to complete the SOS assignment calamitous Conundrum because I can't recover the London five transcript mystery object or the redacted report mystery object. I've seen that many people have had this issues, but am unclear how to get it fixed. Trying to use the in game support it just says to post here. Not sure how this is going to help, but I'm extremely frustrated. There is no reason I shouldn't have found these after months of being on this same assignment and playing daily. Please help.

Hi, I can see from threads going back several months this is an ongoing problem for many users. Please can you provide a fix as it is ruining the experience
Hello, I got the first Mystery Item in SOS Tasks... four I think. On 25 November, I got issued SOS Tasks five and I did not find any more Mystery Items since. I got the 2.16 Update in December and I even reinstalled the game in January, but nothing so far. I am Level 35 by now...

I’m stuck on SOS Task “A Calamitous Conundrum,” with barely nothing of the Grim Fawley back story done...and I’m a level 35 Magizoo in the game who is literally 4 traces away from my first Gold Page. It’s really really frustrating. Any word on a fix?
I am having the same problem! I can't seem to find any mystery objects and are stuck at the same task to find both the london five mystery object and the redacted report mystery object. I really hope there is gonna be a fix for it soon.
Hello, I am on this quest for some days now and completing traces on the map allot but I still can’t find any of the two mystery objects, i asked around other people but they’ve done it so long ago that they don’t remember much, only said complete traces, I even looked on the internet and saw some info like there is a chance 1 in 15 to get a mystery object, even so it seams that I may be the most unlucky guy or something is wrong, I think I did over 300 traces from yesterday till now and still not one of them. I do believe this is a bug. Pls help

I've been playing the game 2.5 months and I have only found ONE mystery item (daily prophet). I am now Level 36. I contacted in-game support and they said it is fixed but it is NOT.

It is certainly NOT a priority for them. I am now level 42, over12,000 foundables returned.
Support has gotten fairly annoyed with me.

I was not getting them for about 6 months! They started dropping for me a couple of weeks ago. Supposed to be fixed for all with this update.

they supposedly did fix this in the latest update, they should now drop randomly from returning foundables and/or defeating fort battles.
I got the same issue since last October, I'm still stuck with this task since then.
I know I'm not the only one as there is so many post on Facebook dedicated group to wizard unit.
I have cleared my cache a lot of time whith the hope of squizzing this task but no way it's still there and I'm still stuck
