..all negative criticism aside, I thought DRII event wasn't as bad as the first or the (awful) community days. With tonics, the spawns are... there. The time's enough to complete at least the 4 taks pages...Only thing is, for people in lockdown, the energy requirements were still too high. Lots of countries experience new lockdown situations, but Niantic seems to want to 're-Embrace the real world'.

The only thing I always find strange, is that you have to have foreknowledge of the task pages ahead. If I had not known that page 2 required me to obtain runestones, I would have gotten them inadvertently by just visiting the event registry page. I knew the task was going to come, and so I avoided looking at the registry. When the task to obtain the runestones came, I just looked at it and immediately got 3 out of 4, eliminating a big part of the grind.
I think there's a flaw in that kind of gameplay. Same goes for the weird image placement 'rules', in which you can't place images anymore because there's bound to be some task or prestige-ing ahead; you need to 'save them up'. There's something 'off' about that.

Also those bugs... the worst current bug I got is picking up energy often not being added to my energy count. This upsets me because where I am the energy is very limited and on top of that and the covid I got a permanent false forest fire warning. The latter makes spawns even less to appear. This time it is slightly better but I never even bothered with the CD after the WW where I had to use 12 tonics to get most of the tasks done, and slight drift a couple of blocks away from home let me have the last of the prophecy records to finish it. Otherwise this would've been recources effectively put into bin like it happened with the dark arts event. I only needed 3 Voldemort and got just one 3 min before end...
Anyone else got a bug in the bonus assignments?
I just opened 3 more brilliant portkeys. They are counted on my registry page, but it is not counted for my bonus task?
How am I supposed to finish it this way?
@MagicMilka you don’t physically open the Portkey for it to register to the task. You simply walk them and when it converts to the boot it’s counted. Not sure if you were expecting an increase by opening the boots.
