Only 2 1/2 hours of the event left. I have been playing all day and a couple of hours last night, used 10-12 TonicTraces, live by a GreenHouse, but i still need 16 prophecy record. The other tasks was completed hours ago...
Did you, Niantic, forgot to increase the spawn-rate of prophecy record during this event, even when we are supposed to collect 30 (!!!) of them?
I've been playing since the first weeks of HPWU, but I think me and the wife are done with this game.. It has become a waste of time...
I'm happy to say there at least seems to be a point in complaining. In just over 2 hours after posting my previous comment, I bagged my final 16 Prophecy Records - which was a massive bump from the 14 I'd managed in the previous 12 hours of play. It still took 2 Trace potions, but the average spawn rate went from around 2 per potion to 8. Maybe it's coincidence, but if it was a result of my comment, thanks for listening! It saved my game.
I also am having a lot of trouble finding Prophecy Record traces. I was out for about 2 1/2 hours at several parks and used I believe 4 TTDs (I lost track) and found 14 Prophecy Records and 17 Flock of Interdepartmental Memos so far. There were several FoIMs that departed on me, as well. I had to take a break to come home for a family Zoom but I’ll head back out after.
I’ve also noticed that I have seen NO Angel’s Trumpets today. Usually they are everywhere but they seem like they’ve been turned off for the day to make us buy them maybe? Am I the only one who can’t find any?
Lots to said before me, and I agree with most of them. It took me 7+ hours and enormous amount of grind to complete the event. I prefer playing outdoors, at least fresh air etc. Let me add some bits to the previous comments.
It makes a difference if you move. Event 20 meters. If you stay still (couch players), it takes time for the spawns to refresh (either you return them or wait them to disappear). If you change your position, brand new traces will spawn.
If the game goes like this, I seriously recommend to develop the following: The checked traces should stop spinning. (Not my idea, but I love it since I read it in 2019)
We are far away from the 20 different spells. So how about a spell that costs 3-5-10 energy and it reveals which traces on the map are needed for an active task (different glow, different color, as you think) Duration is 3-5-10 minutes
Or a potent Tonic for Trace Detection that does this.
Finally, I see everyone thinks the game designers (not devs!) went mad. I would like to say a big thanks to all those who in the last 13 months just had to post after every single event something like "It took me 21 minutes to finish it." I guess you made the designers think how to make it hard for you. Unfortunately the same move made the event impossible for many. Thanks folks. :-(

@HPWUTeam After you have robbed the players of the gaming-goals through the massive devaluation of the XP and now even the dumbest and most inactive players can easily become level 60, you put down an unspeakable series of bugs that are unparalleled.
But that's not all. In direct sequence you create an event that is hardly playable for beginners and has a lot to give up. One might think that you would learn from it, but no. You just keep going.
Catching 80 foundables in a one-day-Event is pretty sporty, but if you - like you did today - **** up the spawn rate not enough, then it is hardly possible to make the event. And then to claim that it would be a #stayathome event taking Covid into account is a bigger lie than Trump would use.
In the gaming community it is already said: Niantic? More dumb than Trump
I think, there are possible reasons:
1.) Your development- or Gamedesigner- team is way to stupid for programming/design a game like this
2.) nobody in your company is playing this game
3.)You have a louse in your management that sabotage the game and wants to destroy the game through targeted wrong decisions.
Here in Germany we have to read every day about good players who deleted or at least quit the game, and they are getting more and more every day. A disaster. Sad

I gave up too. Almost 4 hours today idling with the game and I'm still missing more than half of the balls and memos. If things go the same way tomorrow and Part 2 doesn't get any better from Tuesday, I'll inevitably have to look for another hobby 🤷🏼♂️

This was a truly awful event. You want us to collect a vast amount of each item and then you don't put the traces out there. I have been playing for most of the day and still can't complete the task. The last few events have been like this and I am bored rigid with it now. I used to love this game but you are chasing players away. We have lives, we want to play a bit here and there not all day every day. Put the traces back and reduce the number that we need or, by the looks of twitter, lose most of your players. I played for 9 hours and 10 minutes according to my app tracker. I have had potions on all day. The traces just weren't there and you wanted us to get too many. The last few events have been like this and right now that's it for me. I never want to see this game again. It's supposed to be fun and it's a game - not a life. What are you trying to achieve with these super hard tasks? The game used to be so good, now it is tedious. Please listen to everyone here and stop the stupidity.

My experience has been like everyone else reporting here, massive amounts of ministry officials, and sparse spawns of anything else, particularly prophecy orbs and flocks of memos. A 30 minute walk with TTD running yielded 4 prophecy orbs and 3 memos. So I (maybe) just need 4 hours of walking with 8 TTDs? Not something I'm physically able to do, nor interested in doing it I could.
I've always finished events, except for a few before I understood the game, and when I've been out of reach with my cell phone. Guess you can add me to the growing list of players unable to finish, so wondering why to keep bothering with the game.
Prophecy records are the bane of baneberry this time. It is frustrating and annoying that someone couldn't be bothered to code correctly for this event unless the point is to have us all give up in frustration.
I have played for hours while cooking for a cancer patient and this event isn't fun.
The return specific things that hardly show has just gotten worse with time and events.
If the coder were in my classroom the grade at this point would be an F for failure and frustration.
At least I didn't get locked out of the Knight Bus in this event.
Also there needs to be explanation about when trace tonic will actually brew at the stated amount of time. My first three were not at an hour plus master notes.

That wasn't a "challenge" whatsoever. It was a drain of time and resources, required too many tonics and staying glued to the phone all day long. I got hold of my 3 last memos 20 min before midnight.
As somebody already said on here, all these complaints about the tasks being "too easy" clearly played a role in this "adjustment".
Wjoever came up with these "challenges" has gotten an F from me (or a "2", that's how the unsuccessful student's work is marked in my country).
Also my country is back to quarantine as of Monday, and these events are in no way designed to be playable from home unless you are insanely rich.
In planning these "community days" what level of game resources do you expect players to use and what time investment do you think is needed? The WU developers have lost the plot here and need to go back to basics in what entertainmrmt is. Nearly 11 hours, 8 TTD's and a bunch of other potions to counteract the really high departure rate made this "comm day" a tedious bore. The sunday one is shaping up the same. The WU developers need to go back to basics of what a comm day is and have prolific spawns of specific foundables. These comm days are bizarre mash ups of a wizarding weekend and a comm day that end up being a high time investment for 3 DADA books. Im out of potions for the WoW comm day and looking at another 10 hour investment where I probably get the spawns to finish the task. What is with the TTD's bringing more ministry officials and moodys today on the WoW "comm day"? The mechanics are so off here with these 2 "community days".

This event, well, first of all it seems like you thought that players from Pokemon Go and from HPWU are two completely different bunch altogether... Wondering if you don't have that data (it seems like yo should have it). Maybe I'm the weird one trying to play both games. Also yesterday I had other business to attend to so I could not be 100% for the community day but I spent my fair share of tonics and other stuff...
And what I really suspect is that you have forgotten that we live in a pandemic world and that people could freely move. It was not the case and sincerly, I really enjoy the game but it's just that, a game, and I would like to enjoy as much as possible *without risking my health*
Please, I would ask from you to repeat the event or allows us to continue another day, reviewing the spawns rates so it's not needed to play like 8 hours to fulfill all the tasks to get the rewards.
I consider myself to be a hard core player. I was able to finish this event only by driving around the shopping center parking lot for two hours. Total time to complete this Community Day was NINE HOURS of dedicated play. It was a brutal slog.
My condolences to all those who struggled so hard to finish but couldn't due to lack of the proper spawns.
I know this is already coming across crystal clear, but the issue at the core here is that this game's events have been poorly executed to the point of the game not being fun AT ALL. I know little mistakes can slip through the cracks that weren't thought of, but the Developers should be testing these things. There is no excuse for such poor execution/QA. This game is REALLY bumming people out, and that's the last thing a game should be doing to people who choose to play it--especially when the only skill these event tasks is RNG.
I know many players wanted a challenge, but this is not what a challenge consists of. Fun first, challenge second.
Was finally able to get the last half of my prophecies with four hours to go. I was able to get my page from bronze to silver and didn't use too many tonics with about 10-11 left compared to last CD so I guess that's a win. I started brewing a ton early with what ingredients I could find. Exstimulo potions are a different story and I depleted my vault with multiple tasks to go thanks to the Veils and Newts resisting. I have most everything green starred to max now and ready for gold except veils and bogrods no less, but those will come soon enough. Trying to replenish exstimulos before midnight and build up energy with challenges. Still, without being able to go anywhere this was a bit of a challenge with just tonics so I feel for others worse off than me
14 Prophecy Records to go, 73 minutes left in the event. Since I've been getting 2-3 spawns per TTD, there's no way to finish (I wasn't doing better driving or walking around earlier today, either). Very disappointing event.
Took until after 9pm to finally get the last prophecy record, despite over a 3 mile walk with TTDs this morning. Spawn rates were not good, hopefully better tomorrow
I see I'm not the only one who failed the event because I only budged three hours of intense playing time on a day in direct conflict with another community day, despite burning half my potions and all of my trace charms. Not enough prophecy records for me either. Given that DADA books are the only way to progress in the game now, I guess it's safe for me to spend my precious weekends progressing in some other, more realistically progressable game instead.
Please tell the designers that artifically gating game progression behind a massive number of boring grindy hours in a limited time window is just not fun. Despite all the sunk cost, I simply cannot afford the time investment to play anymore. This was my last day in the game unless I hear of a major philosophy change.

I only needed 6 more to finish even with TTD active all day. With not enough spell energy remaining I will not be participating in tomorrows October community day. This is NO LONGER FUN TO PLAY.
Well I've had enough of this game. VERY disappointed. I spent hours playing this event and could not finish it. I only needed 3 more memos to finish and after using TTD I still couldn't get any. Just ridiculous! Everything else was spawning except for what was needed.
Also, remember there are restrictions due to covid worldwide.
You can also count me with those other people who have stopped playing HPWU. I have been with this game pretty much from the start of it (when it was fun). I see no point of playing a game that's only time consuming with no benefits. With one event right after another and no break. It has NOT been fun recently.
@HPWUTeam Super awesome making yet another event that became nearly impossible to complete. This will in fact be the second event I've been completely unable to finish despite hours devoted toward the effort. So yeah super swell job continually shoving event content at us in an effort to keep things from getting stale and instead merely frustrating. Cuz boredom definitely kills interest in games quicker than anger........
Like everyone else, I did not find this event fun. It required investing too many hours for a one day event and engendered too much stress that it might not be successfully completed after all that.
And there were many bugs. Fortress challenges with ministry runestones only showed one family reward during event but rewarded others. Time for tonics for grace detection was supposed to be reduced during this event and tomorrow’s event, but stopped being reduced tonight.
This game should be a fun diversion that rewards time spent playing it, but it has become a nightmare of excessive punishing difficulty. As the day progressed today, I felt like one of those gamblers in Las Vegas that is losing everything they have but can’t stop because they might win if they gamble just one more time. This is not good.
I have truly enjoyed this game for over a year. It has helped me thru a period when I was injured and had trouble walking and needed the motivation and diversion to get out and struggle to walk more each day when it was very painful to do so. I’m sure this game has brought a lot of enjoyment to a great many.
But right now, it feels as if someone is intentionally sabotaging this game and trying to drive away it’s players, or the staffing for this game‘s continued maintenance has badly deteriorated.
I will also add that I did successfully complete the event, but it required too much to complete... too many hours outside that I didn’t really want to spend, leaving me unhappy I did... and i felt like I was enduring something just rigged to be near impossible for most, depending on random chance with brutal odds, with the only satisfaction from success being the rewards handed out, but no satisfied sense of “yes, I did it!” , but instead “why did I let myself be put through that?”.
I could have liked this event, which I mostly played walking outside, but came home annoyed. Had the required amounts been switched for memos and orbs records, I probably would have liked the event. Total play time was over two hours, which is long, considering past events.

I see I'm not the only one who failed the event because I only budged three hours of intense playing time on a day in direct conflict with another community day, despite burning half my potions and all of my trace charms. Not enough prophecy records for me either. Given that DADA books are the only way to progress in the game now, I guess it's safe for me to spend my precious weekends progressing in some other, more realistically progressable game instead.
Please tell the designers that artifically gating game progression behind a massive number of boring grindy hours in a limited time window is just not fun. Despite all the sunk cost, I simply cannot afford the time investment to play anymore. This was my last day in the game unless I hear of a major philosophy change.
I'M DONE WITH THIS GAME.....
After 12 hours of game play I was not able to complete this community day. Not enough spell energy spawns or prophecy records foundable spawns . I only needed 6 more to finish even with TTD active all day. With not enough spell energy remaining I will not be participating in tomorrows October community day. This is NO LONGER FUN TO PLAY.
Well I've had enough of this game. VERY disappointed. I spent hours playing this event and could not finish it. I only needed 3 more memos to finish and after using TTD I still couldn't get any. Just ridiculous! Everything else was spawning except for what was needed.
Also, remember there are restrictions due to covid worldwide.
You can also count me with those other people who have stopped playing HPWU. I have been with this game pretty much from the start of it (when it was fun). I see no point of playing a game that's only time consuming with no benefits. With one event right after another and no break. It has NOT been fun recently.

@HPWUTeam Super awesome making yet another event that became nearly impossible to complete. This will in fact be the second event I've been completely unable to finish despite hours devoted toward the effort. So yeah super swell job continually shoving event content at us in an effort to keep things from getting stale and instead merely frustrating. Cuz boredom definitely kills interest in games quicker than anger........
Like everyone else, I did not find this event fun. It required investing too many hours for a one day event and engendered too much stress that it might not be successfully completed after all that.
And there were many bugs. Fortress challenges with ministry runestones only showed one family reward during event but rewarded others. Time for tonics for grace detection was supposed to be reduced during this event and tomorrow’s event, but stopped being reduced tonight.
This game should be a fun diversion that rewards time spent playing it, but it has become a nightmare of excessive punishing difficulty. As the day progressed today, I felt like one of those gamblers in Las Vegas that is losing everything they have but can’t stop because they might win if they gamble just one more time. This is not good.
I have truly enjoyed this game for over a year. It has helped me thru a period when I was injured and had trouble walking and needed the motivation and diversion to get out and struggle to walk more each day when it was very painful to do so. I’m sure this game has brought a lot of enjoyment to a great many.
But right now, it feels as if someone is intentionally sabotaging this game and trying to drive away it’s players, or the staffing for this game‘s continued maintenance has badly deteriorated.
I will also add that I did successfully complete the event, but it required too much to complete... too many hours outside that I didn’t really want to spend, leaving me unhappy I did... and i felt like I was enduring something just rigged to be near impossible for most, depending on random chance with brutal odds, with the only satisfaction from success being the rewards handed out, but no satisfied sense of “yes, I did it!” , but instead “why did I let myself be put through that?”.
I could have liked this event, which I mostly played walking outside, but came home annoyed. Had the required amounts been switched for memos and orbs records, I probably would have liked the event. Total play time was over two hours, which is long, considering past events.
