Couldn't engage Buckbeak or Firenze

I had two Severe "Care of Magical Creatures" foundables pop up today.  I was pretty excited, thinking I might FINALLY be able to prestige with Buckbeak or Firenze, but then... "Connection lost. Check your wifi or mobile data."

I could engage and return everything around except for those two most desirable foundables.

Please tell me Niantic has a solution to this. It was absolutely infuriating!

    It's not Buckbeak or Firenze, it's baby norwegian ridgeback aka Norbert/Norberta. Beams are still wrong and it's on the list if known issues. So you didn't lose anything really rare. Also BB and F are emergencies, not severes 🙂

    There was a bug causing a 'Connection Lost' error when users engaged with the Baby Norwegian Ridgeback. This was fixed in an update yesterday.
