    Event Portkeys

Have several different distance Event Portkeys color coded to distance a .5km, 1 km, 1.5 km and 2 km

Rewards are greater for greater distances

Color lets player decide which one to pick up. Allows players more options to fit portkeys to their 2020 circumstance. Would also help players with mobility issues

Inventory control for all portkeys! Please. We can control amounts in all other parts of our inventory.

Deleting portkeys would help players with vision or color issues and gives all players more options fit their strategies.

Opening any distance portkey continues counts for the portkey task.

@Craeft you recently posted about potions and SE is a challenge for you. what would you like to see?

@ClairabusGryff and @Imaginatio y'all both have great ideas what would you add to event tasks or rewards

@LinearLaser 👋 Welcome to the forum. You had some suggestions in a previous BE thread would you like to share or expand your ideas here?

I do love all of the portkey ideas...just like during dragon events we can pick up the colored one we need.

I would love some new portkey locations:

    1. Newt’s suitcase
    2. Kowalsky’s bakery
    3. The moving staircases
    4. The Yule Ball dance venue
    5. The different dorm rooms
    6. Quidditch Field
    7. The maze where the tri Wizard cup was won
    8. Diagon Alley
    9. The dining hall where all students eat
    10. The room of requirement
    11. The tent that the Weasleys used when they went to the Quidditch World cup
    12. The greenhouse (Pomona Sprout’s)
    13. The store where you buy your wizard wear/clothing
    14. The scene with the final battle with Voldemort
    15. Harry’s room under the cupboard on Privet Drive

I would love to see Newt’s suitcase the most.

👋@ClairabusGryff Good to "see" you again. Hope all is well.

Fabulous portkey location ideas!!! Yes please to all of them.

The events have been challenging for you lately. Location and se have been an issue for you, what changes to the event task lists, new tasks or rewards would you like to see in future events.

@Owlx the recent events have been a challenge for me mainly because of SE. I am stuck working at home until I don’t know when so SE is a daily battle for me. I do leave my house on average 2-3 times a week and fill up on SE and try to get as many gifts as I possibly can to send to my generous friends and of course tons of ingredients. I mainly brew exstimulo potions and would brew more TTD but never find erumpent horn on the map. So gifts containing more SE and more erumpent horns would be very nice.

I understand the need to balance the game with challenging events and tasks. What about one of the tasks you have to send out 50 gifts and if you do you get 100 SE? Why aren’t there any tasks around sending gifts? A good idea perhaps...

As this pandemic continues everyone has to find their new normal and for me since I am considered High Risk I have to stay home. So the game is what keeps me sane and helps me a lot.

I would really like to see a brilliant event only gold key. I think that is a brilliant idea. Perhaps it could be earned by completing X number of brilliant events??

My suggestion is about the Event Tasks that might be a good way to balance the difficulty for new/newer and long time players. Maybe have a "bonus" task after each set of tasks that the player has the option of completing. So, for example, after the first set of tasks, a special task pops up that the player can attempt, or have the option to "Bypass." Once you bypass, you cannot go back to this special task. This special bonus task could be harder but give a nice bonus prize if finished. New/newer players could skip (or even skip partially through) if they instead want to focus on finishing all the sets of tasks and make sure they get all the green spell books and DADA books before the event is over. With this method, the regular sets of tasks could be better aimed at all players and not become too difficult that only long term players can finish before the event ends.

A variety of event portkeys would be fantastic! I wish the portkey rewards were more event oriented. The two portkeys I opened today gave me 8 common ingredients but no brilliant family xp. It was disappointing.

They could keep the FXP challenge as is if they bump the spawn rate of map energy and brilliant foundables as well as the FXP from the brilliant foundables. Add a second tier of FXP after placing the images for the first time. That would allow the people who want to grind for runestones and maxing the page the ability to do so but also make completion of the event more achievable for those who just want to finish the tasks.

Also, add more DADA books as rewards. Ration enough of them out over a year to complete 85%-90% of the SOS tasks by then.

We want to feel like we're accomplishing and the sparsity of the necessary books doesn't help with that. At least with red books we could grind fortresses for them. Right now, unless it's an event task getting me there, I do the daily and that's it. I used to enjoy the grind. 😔

    New profession lessons!

Do something about the empty knight bus. Whether it be allow pre grouping, dynamic instances,... It's just so empty in there...

@SashaCleerri had a good suggestion about making the tasks rolling.

So a completed task would be replaced with a new one and you don't have to grind a certain task in order to move on.

Avoid the family XP. Giving up on task 2.

-I’d like the opportunity to finish out past registries? Maybe a November backwards

    month for 2020!!!!

I really enjoyed in the last wizarding weekend how we got spell energy as a reward for winning a wizarding chamber battle. I am always low on spell energy and that helped me a lot!! I wish we had that all the time or at least during wizarding/community days/brilliant events.

I've wrote a few suggestions in another trend about this Dark Arts BE. To recap and sum it up, I would like to see different type BEs, where it would allow a player permanently improve on some skills, like attending Professor Sprout lessons will help expand ingredient capacity, or having Professor Snape lesson and mastering special potion recipe, that could not be puchased or found. Along with special boots or broom that would allow to visit Inns & Green houses at a greater distance. I believe that will reduce lots of complaints. Having a pet with properties like Niffler retreaving gold coins or owl allowing to send more than one gift to a friend (or even fun messages with a gift), or phoenix that will heal in combat. BE connected to each other like retrieving some objects as reward to be used in the next task. Time turner allowing players to go revisit past events and complete it (especially for new players that missed on the first BEs and would like to place immages). Option to trade scrolls, red books in to DADA, potions, spell energy, gold. Someone mentioned prestge pages to rubby, saphire. Instead of increasing number of required foundables, increase the rewards, providing with DADA or green books, Nifler could reward gold, wands could cast new spells etc. Introduce more interesting tasks like looking for hocruxes and going from one dimention to another upon completion of a task and finding exit to win the challenge. And please, what's the point of casting masterful spell if it fails to capture foundable? Make Masterful trace a fail proof. It could have harder parameters set to achieve it, but once one cast it - it should not fail to retrieve foundable. I'd like a trip to Beaxbatons accademy and Durmstrangs, along with Hogwards kitchens, dormitory rooms for each house, Trelawny's Tower, Grimauld's Place, a ride at Gringots to the volt.

Revisit of previous Brilliants, so to complete missing ones.

    some ideas:

    • wizard chess minigame
    • something in the theme of "return 1 trace from 5 different families" (rather than return 5 X's)
    • collect fake galleons around the world map (just something event-themed to collect as you go; could have a story page that would also serve as a journal for the BEs - when you look at the item, characters recount the BE like "remember when Harry figured out how to influence the Calamity and revealed all those ministry secrets?")
    • collect memories on the map - little whisps to trace
    • emancipate a house elf (collect clothes items in inventory, encounter with elf on map, apply items for different effects); feed a house elf; transport a house elf (give floo powder)
    • something where we do something to investigate/study the foundable, rather than just returning it. That is, say we had a different set of traces/spells that we could cast. We could choose between returning or applying a different spell, like to transmogriphy, change its color, magnify, bottle, give the troll a candy, ... something that is more cosmetic/goofy. After doing that, you could still return as normal, but you'd have a different animation. could have tasks around applying these other effects.

There was this thing in a group I'm at that suggested "Do 5 different spells" and i would like that a lot. I also wish you could access the dialogue after the events.

I wish we could re-read the dialogue too!

This latest event with the FXP again is way too high! 200FXP is prob the highest it should be for a week event - there is no way you can get more than that without having to really slog away at it! Either that or each brilliant foundable needs to award way more than 3FXP!

I'm not a fan of the high xp in a group. It was so extreme that I quickly got to the point I stopped playing until this event is over. From what I hear, task 3 wasn't any better. The spawn rates were low. But, suggestions .. I like the portkey ideas. I would like the challenges to adapt number of foes after challenge is started and people drop out of the room. Also, a messaging feature within the challenges perhaps a way to request friends from the challenges? For the brilliant event suggestions...I don't use the dark detectors (stay at home a lot) but I use the keys. Also energy rewards perhaps. Or the rare ingredients.

Can we create a house elf to complete a task for us?
