@BenTiger@BenTiger I understand in past WW that the decision was made to make it harder to prestige the page by not boosting all of the rare Foundables on a page. The game developers have never made it impossible until now with completely removing the ability to get Foundables.
I just wish in the communications sent out they made it clear that these Foundables were not going to be available at all before the event started. When they clarified that Knockturn Alley would be boosted earlier this week, they did not state/clarify that two Foundables won’t be available at all. Most players would have grind these out prior to the event starting if that had been communicated.

I did try to fill up those two fortress foundables before the event started, in the interest of being able to get as much done as possible, but with the randomness of which ones you get, if you get them at all, I wasn't able to. So, yes it's disappointing. I'll still do the event to get the prizes, but it does make it less fun to know that prestiging is completely blocked on that page.
I too am very disappointed that I can only get Knockturn Alley signs from challenges with dark arts. I need "Magic is Might Statue" and "Tom Riddle Sr.'s Gravestone" pieces to prestige this page to gold. So I guess I should skip dark arts and use other runestones. Save the Dark Arts runestones for after the event.
Also, either way, it would be nice if @hpwulola or another representative of the game would at least respond to our posts, even if it's just to confirm that it's what they intended and that we all just have to accept it.
Pathetic... so disappointed i will not be playing this game any more :( way to ruin something i love that actually brought me joy in these times. & you can’t even communicate back to us to clarify the issue. horrible :’(

If they haven’t responded (that I have seen) about the plume colors being fixed why would they respond about this new mis-communication?

The forum this time last year was such a great place to go to learn about the game and meet fantastic people and now it is just negativity and anger from the players going completely unaddressed by the mods or HPWU. Which I completely get the anger and negativity!!! I just used a trace on what I thought was an emergency trace but nope it wasn’t. This issue has been going on for almost a month. Seriously what is going on at Niantic??
i cannot believe that you have deliberately locked in the Knockturn Alley sign as the only fortress foundable to prevent me prestiging page to gold during the event, usual miscommunication and errors, do you care about your players at all? 😡
However it’s not too late to fix this, i mean you are literally the developers. & @hpwulola even a response will help (not by much) but at least it will show you're listening.

It would be fantastic if they would reverse this decision given the number of players who did not understand that these Foundables needed to be in the registry before the event began. Or remove the 2000 Family XP task since at most players can prestige once (if they got all Foundables needed prior to event starting).
@Horcrux42 I will be re-placing the foundables that are boosted to get the XP. It should add up pretty quickly. I still really wish I could prestige the page though.
So Tom Riddle's grave and the ministry statue aren't even available in fortress challenges now, and all we can get is the Knockturn Alley sign?! That's backwards! Useless "event"
I only needed 3 of Riddle Sr.'s gravestone... That was it. Didn't grind because I was waiting for the event. It's a real slap in the face. And @HPWUTeam isn't going to respond anymore because they don't work weekends. Another step in **** poor customer service and awareness.
So, I finished the 2000 XP! I placed one Hand of Glory, one Percival Graves, and three Tom Riddles (with help from 4 Trace Charms.) I also got 100 or so from Fortress battles with DA runestones. The rest of it came from just returning DA traces.
Another issue with the lack of communication. I am sure I read we were supposed to get a complimentary care package after the update for a previous error/communication issue. Just seems like HPWU team don’t listen or care to learn from previous mishandlings.
I’ll see how this wizarding weekend goes and if any changes are made, if not, highly likely I’ll be done with this game.

They have made all Challenge foundables, in the same family, other than what they choose to be guaranteed to drop from "x" difficulty or higher into Emergency foundables for every previous Wizarding Weekend. It has not been as noticable as this event though, since they usually make the Challenge foundable be from the page that they increase the spawn of the other foundables in. In previous Wizarding weekends, everyone was focused on foundables for the page with the guaranteed Challenge foundable, so it was not very noticable that it was impossible to get other Challenge foundables from that family.
They should have just left off the Voldemort painting from increased spawn and made the Challenge foundables from the third page be the guaranteed foundables; but they probably just figured that it would be easier to make the Knockturn Alley Sign guaranteed, since there is only that one Challenge foundable on the page.

I didn’t realize that challenge foundables had levels. It’s not shown on their detail pages. Is this something hidden? Is that what determines which fortress levels they are likely to be found in and how likely they are to drop? Interesting.
I am SO upset right now. @hpwulola Please get the dev team to turn back on the ability to get the Magic is might statue and Tom Riddle’s gravesite foundables in the fortresses for this event. Without them, you’ve ruined this event.
I have burned through forty runestones trying to get ONE riddle's gravestone and I just find out now that Niantic has lied AGAIN? It is impossible to earn that fragment this weekend?
For days the promise of prestiging the page has been advertised by Niantic and then on the day of, suddenly they change the rules.
Why keep doing this to your players? How much of this do you think we'll take?
The dragon event was so great but this poor communication and lack of consideration for players around this event has completely disintegrated the good will built up from that event. I will probably complete the event, but this is the sort of thing that makes me drift away from and give up on games completely.
@JLKGriffenclaw the dragons event was a coverup for nerfing the trace charm. It appears they just like baiting and switching their game. They are the Donald Trump of game makers. Lol
@PhoenixLight76 I knew it was because of some screwups, but not what. Still, it was by far the best event we've had in a while. But I do completely agree this current event was a total bait and switch.
Guess I'm uninstalling the game. Horrible development decisions made worse by terrible communication from @hpwulola . Hope they replace her soon with somebody who listens to player feedback.
With no ability to prestige, the ridiculous 2000 DA XP requirement, and the pathetic rewards for completing it, this is really not worth the effort. I think for the first time since quarantine I'm sitting this one out.
This was just a stupid decision all around. Great job, guys.
I just don’t understand what incentive there is for long term players to stay with this game... At every turn, event or update there are just more slaps in the face. Without the ability to prestige The Fallen Ministry page, the only benefit of this event for long term players is 2 DADA books, which in the scheme of the SOS tree is almost pointless. I’ve decided I’m a gullible fool, I keep looking forward to these events only to feel repeatedly cheated and disappointed.
@CeruleanGirl Challenge foundables do not have levels. They usually do not display a difficulty. When they show as Emergency, that means that they are disabled from Challenges. So, it is kind of like an on-off switch (aka single binary value: 0 or 1).
@hpwulola used to be somewhat attentive to players. Since the fragment-gate, she has not been very responsive, though. Post-pandemic, she has become even more unresponsive.
This can be due to many factors, some of which could include:
Increased regulations as to what can be said by hpwu staff
Fear of reprisal for undesirable responses
Less supervision, leading to lower productivity
The list could go on... but it is all speculation. We can't really know what reasons there are for the abysmal customer service by the @HPWUTeam.
@sablknight The 2k fxp task is very easy. Just concentrate on the other tasks and you are almost guaranteed to complete the task, prior to completing all the return foundable tasks. Fxp is harder to earn, during Brilliant events, due to lower spawn rates. During Wizarding Weekends, the spawn rate is greatly increased, so it is easier to place images and earn a lot of fxp.
