This needs serious nerfing. When I saw it on Orange Wizards infographics, I hoped to god that it was a typo, as I knew at 3xp per trace, it was impossible.
This game gets worse every event. Please get quality control sorted.
This is BEYOND ridiculous now. Not only is it low chance to get a foundable from a fortress unless you do dark V, but playing on the knight bus during a brilliant event is next to impossible for a ton of people unless they risk it and so happen to have good luck doing it. The first few times I got lucky and got what I needed without issue. The last two events? Not so much. Luckily I got back in pretty quick after being kicked off but again I got kicked off today during the battle and lost my very-hard- to-come-by brilliant runestone. Seriously? How many events does this have to happen and to how many people does it need to affect before you actually do something about it? Furthermore, why was this not a priority during the most recent update? Why are visual bugs more important to fix than players being booted from the game during every brilliant event now, and I believe other events as well??? You submit a report and don't even get a response from anyone let alone an it's fixed until well after the fact. How are players supposed to complete a task requiring them to do wizarding challenges when they can't even do so without being booted right out of the game? How is that right or fair? I know this isn't anyone here's fault but to say I'm frustrated with this persistent issue is an understatement. Sadly I assume it won't be fixed until the next update, whenever that even is, if at all. All I really want is some sort of confirmation it's being worked on and hasn't been forgotten but even so, a fix for this should have been the priority a long time ago. I would say to whoever is responsible to do better and get it together, but I have no idea who to blame anymore nor do I feel like anyone who is cares, so I'm about to throw my hands up and quit. Sorry for the long rant but I have no idea what else to do anymore!
I've had 10 wizarding challengrs using the part2 runestones of the brilliant event but have never received fragments of the Brilliant Masked Death Eater. I know it's supposed to be random. But 0/10?
im currently still on a personal forced lockdown. I’m taking care of my mother and she us at high risk for covid-19. I risked exposure during the dragon event by walking for dragons and eggs. They are yet again pushing me to risk exposure by setting the family number at 500 for 4/4. At 3 per, I need to capture at a minimum 150 brilliants , using TTD I get about 10, so I’d have to use 15 of them. The other option is to go out into the world and walk, which I’m not willing to do again, I chanced it for the dragons and didn’t come close to the gold pages, and walking around my house didn’t help one bit. Please consider lowering the number to 200, 300 max. 500 on that challenge is quite excessive,
Is there any way to read the text boxes that popped up from Hermione (?) while I was working on Step 4? I had my finger already on the screen and they disappeared before I could read them. Or if there's a place where they've been screen-grabbed, that would be fine, too. Thanks!

@hpwulola Five hundred Brilliant Event XP is way too high. The reward for returning traces is only 3-4 XP. Placing foundables may give a little more but we don’t really want to do that because, unless I am wrong, one of the Bonus tasks is to place 5 Brilliant Hall of Prophecy Images in the registry. After about 24 hours of working on it, I am at about 350. That includes using several tonics at home and placing a couple of week one foundables, plus a small amount from a couple of Portkeys. I also did a lot of fortress battles but got next to none from those. Most of it, though, has come from driving around to get a lot of traces at the local hot spots for the last couple of hours. I will get it eventually but I have no idea how the players who are stuck at home are supposed to do it. Please consider lowering it for their sakes at least.
@CeruleanGirl It's hard to support an argument that it's excessive when we're not even through the second day of a seven day event and you're most of the way through the problem task, which is on the 4 set of 4. I know a lot of us are accustomed to finishing Brilliant Events in a day or two, but there is a week available.
This update and changes to the tasks ****!!!..proving this game is just turing into a **** fest I don't wanna play 24 7 to finish task on these events ...you frigging lost me now ..

Before I left my home to play around town for 3 or so hours, I had accumulated something like 8o XP in almost a day, even with the aid of several TTDs. Even after going out to play in several trace-heavy areas for so long, I was still short about 40 XP when I got home.
Yes, it is only the second day of the event, so there is still time to compete it. However, if people who can’t leave their homes to find traces need say 4 or 5 days, going by the 80 or so XP I got in a day’s worth of heavy at-home play, then how are they going to accomplish that task and then get another 45 traces on top of those they have already struggled to find in order to complete the Bonus task?
No, it’s not an impossible task, but it is unreasonably difficult for those who can’t leave their own houses at this time. It’s supposed to be fun, not frustrating and disappointing. I think we all have enough of that right now without adding to it. Just my opinion, of course.
not to oppose anyone but i think this event portkey they lowered the rules or something. put on the afternoon when i woke up at early morning it usually have opened. or maybe its just my old phone though. LoL
Doing 39/42 battles in dark chamber V will return 390 to 420 BXP. If you place 13/14 masked death eater... You have plus 78 to 84 BXP. It’s enough to do it. I completed without leaving home...
Said that, I’m disappointed for other reasons, but not with the brilliant event tasks.
@RegulusPT I can't argue with your math. But telling people who are stuck at home that their solution is to do 39 dark 5 battles is not very helpful. Trying to get a viable team that many times would be frustrating to say the least, not to mention all of the energy those battles would require.
Also, trying to return enough brilliant traces to accumulate 39 event runes would be a whole other challenge for those who can't leave the house. I don't see this being much help for most people.

Thank you for the offer, but I'm not suffering from a lack of energy, nor am I complaining about taking too long to complete. I'm not saying your suggestion isn't possible, I'm saying it's not practical advice for anyone who is already struggling to complete the event.
@RegulusPT I agree with@MtPollux. That is really not a realistic scenario. I really don’t think there are too many people who either want to or have the resources to do that many Dark V battles. It is just not a good use of spell energy or potions, not to mention that if I am going to do Dark V battles, I’m not going to be using Brilliant Runestones to do them. It was an interesting suggestion, but not really a practical one.
@Niff1erTick1er Because Dark V is the only chamber that is guaranteed to give you a Masked Death Eater Fragment and you only get XP if you get the fragment. Between the resources used and the randomness of getting anything at all unless you are in Dark V, it just doesn’t seem to be a reliable or practical method of working towards your 500 XP task.
@Cerulean56 and @Niff1erTick1er, I can’t disagree or agree with your opinion. I only can verify a fact since I completed the task in about three hours and already completed all the assignments (bonus included), two days ago, without playing 24/7.
I must live in a very good area because I finished all the tasks including the bonus tasks in less than 2 days. PS I have no lock down and zero covid where I live.
Am I the only one experiencing a slowness when it comes to adventure sync? I know I have walked the required 0.25 for the daily tasks today. And yet it still won’t grant me the completion. This is going to make opening portkeys a huge issue. Can this please be fixed ?!?

I'm getting 10-11 XP with a brilliant rune stone regardless of if it's Ruins 5, Tower 5, or Dark Chamber 5.
39 x 10 = 390. Not that many people have dozens of rune stones piled up, but it helps get you to 500.
