Stuck on SOS

Hello, I have been stuck on the SOS part where I need 5 doxy droppings. I have completed the other 2 requirements which also took a ridiculously long amount of time to finish. Is it possible that I did find the amount needed but it didn't get recognized in the game?

@BionicSquishy13 Have you been hunting doxies lately? The doxy droppings only come with doxy foundables. However not every doxy might drop something.
Doxies appears during sunrise. I suggest you play about half an hour before and after sunrise. Not all doxies provide dropping after you defeat it.
