Auto collect rewards when the time runs out
I'm sure I'm not the only one who likes to leave collecting any rewards until the last minute, especially the energy rewards. I like to get that last boost of energy at the end of the day or at the end of an event, to keep me going the next day or so.
However, whereas sometimes it has been my fault for forgetting to collect them on time, sometimes it isn't. My app updated not long before midnight & so it was slow to load when I went on to collect my remaining daily rewards and I missed out.
I love being able to collect rewards & free gifts whenever I like, but any unclaimed rewards/gifts should definitely be automatically claimed on your behalf whenever the time is up to claim them (ie at the end of each day/the end of an event).
PLEASE introduce this, it would be so much better!

It's my own fault but I completely forgot to claim my rewards and free store pack for the wizarding weekend & I am so annoyed! I had completed all the tasks yet left collecting rewards so I could get a last energy boost & keep collecting ingredients & potions in the mean time. The energy and silver key I've now missed out on would've really helped in dragon week too!
Can you PLEASE add an automatic collection at the end of events, at least for completed rewards if not for the store pack as well.
I know I should've learned my lesson but it's so easy to do. And I'm just trying to optimise my gameplay by leaving collecting rewards until the last minute. Please add this feature!!
I was driving when time to collect the last set of rewards and also the total rewards at the very end of today's event and lost them all. I feel extremely disappointed they weren't auto added at the end since I worked so hard and earned them. Guess I should have collected them sooner but being in a very rural area, I have to leave home to get anything at all without a tonic for trace detection potion and even with that you don't get the big items or any energy, ingredients, etc.
HPWU (and many, many other apps) are designed this way. The idea is, that you HAVE to open the app to get your reward. That way, the app designer can say their playerbase is 'active', but it's mostly designed to keep luring you back into the game, keep you tied to it. Same goes with potions, portkeys. If you could automate this, people wouldn't open the app for days, or be able to farm stuff.
I'm pretty sure such an auto-collect feature would never be implemented. It's one of many, many psych tricks found in every mobile game, made to get you hooked.
I understand that, but I don't agree it's the same with rewards. You could have spent hours (especially during an event) and then miss out because of any number of reasons. I've missed out on daily rewards because the game went down, so not my fault. You could lose internet or anything.
My point is if you've worked to earn the rewards then you should be given them. Don't get me wrong, I love that you can collect them whenever you want and aren't forced to have them as soon as they're earnt. If you have been on the game to earn the rewards then you are clearly a pretty active player.
@Hannager Just collect them before the event ends. That is easier than campaigning to change the basic game functionality.
I have been thinking the same thing! There are so many nights where I have all of my rewards sitting ready to claim and I forget until 12:05! Facepalm. Would be great if you had to open the app to “activate” the awards (that way we stay *active*) and earn them throughout the day, but at midnight, any awards that you earned got automatically swept into your bucket.
There are many times when I've not collected ingredient rewards, and I have not clicked the free gift in months, as its mostly trace tonic ingredients and I'd delete them anyways. Auto-collect would most likely end up annoying me intensely. As a mild ocd case there is no way I won't have collected what I want to have collected (rewards, gifts etc) b/c of the red dots, can't stand them if I don't have to.
