@Lucoire that's an interesting theory. but does that mean that whoever is behind the "Potter Calamity" is acting out of good or evil intent? I'd really like to understand who's behind all of this. I don't want to be taken advantage of by someone who is manipulating all of us.
and @Dirtyjoe619 as to the reference to the Ingress time-travel Hoax, it's been pretty clearly debunked. Even though a lab at CERN went onto a 'black' budget and certain individuals 'disappeared' despite references to them in CERN community newspapers and an online directory of personnel, there is no evidence of anything as crazy as time travel. Having said that, the location of the so -called "Portals" in the Ingress Scanner app do correspond to the locations selected for Wizarding Challenges and "Inns" in HPWU.
Well, @ace, the overwhelming majority of people that are publicly considered villains, believe themselves to be heroes. They just act from a different point of view.
Let me give you an example to better explain. Let's take "Lucifer", the biblical devil. He disagreed with God on whether humanity should be allowed free will. Where the devil advocated for a "live and let live" mentality, for TRUSTING humanity to learn and adapt, god expected obedience and for humanity to "enjoy" rather than think. God favored safety and sacrificed potential - the devil favored potential and sactificed safety. Who of them is evil? Aren't both of them just different sides of the same coin, different perspectives of the same argument?
I believe it is the same with whoever caused the Calamity Spell, he or she doesn't appear to cause chaos and destruction. Then again, I'm convinced that the Calamity Spell had unforseen and unexpected side-effects 😅
Additionally, I believe that we actually help in "restoring order" by returning the Foundables to their original place and time.
