August Wizarding Weekend

Witches and Wizards,


Spend a weekend marveling at Wonders of the Wizarding World including the Weasleys' Flying Car and the Whomping Willow.

From Friday, August 21 at 11 a.m. PT–Monday, August 24 at 11 a.m. PT, keep an eye out for the following:

  • Special Assignments focused on returning Wonders of the Wizarding World Foundables with rewards including Potions, Spell Books, Runestones, Spell Energy and a Silver Key.
  • Increased sightings of the Dirigible Plums, Giant’s Helm, Puking Pastilles Display, Weasleys' Flying Car and Whomping Willow Foundables on the Map and from Tonic for Trace Detection.
  • Players have a chance to receive a Wonders of the Wizarding World Runestone after returning event Traces.


Please note: To enable as many players around the world as possible to participate safely, this event has been adjusted to facilitate playing from wherever you are. Please remember to adhere to local rules and regulations, and be respectful of others and your surroundings.

    @Kodokmag I’ll gladly take every Whomping Willow available! At 20 Field Guides a pop, I hope I see hundreds! I’ll be saving up my Trace Charm in preparation and hoping for regular refills.


    I’m really looking forward to seeing more Weasley’s Flying Cars, they’ve been blocking the page for ages.

    Wow, I'm looking forward! The flying car is a hard one for me, it's blocking that page for a long time already!

    Also happy with the womping willow, as said any red beam is welcome!


    I was kind of hoping for self-playing harp since that's the foundable that's blocking my Room of Requirement IV page to be prestiged to gold. But all the others I can use!

    The 50,000 WXP is not super concerning particularly with how much XP we can now get from opening trunks (if you invested in those), but any word on whether the Herd Immunity fix will be out before the event starts?

    I agree with @Klc5048 I got 70,000 WXP this morning just walking around town. I only used 2 Baruffio potions and no TTD potions.

    Ouch on 50,000xp. But over a 3 day event and with trunk upgrades, it shouldn't be a problem.

    I cannot log in my account the whole of today! Hope the login problem can be fixed before the event starts. Tried deleting & reinstalling app to no avail. Tried logging in on my friend’s handphone and met with same error, although my friend can log in to her account without any problem. 😞
