My townhall and my neighborhoods church is not recognized which I don’t understand why since all other town halls and churches are pinned as a spot. Ruth NC.

Locations are all user submitted, aggregated from some other Niantic games over the past several years.

If you don't see locations, either nobody ever submitted that location, or the church/local goverment asked to have that location suppressed.

There are a few churches around me that asked to have the pokestops removed from their property because they did not care for Pokemon Go players hanging out there, especially some with graveyards adjacent. Those seem to be suppressed from Wizards Unite as well. Similarly, I know of some fire stations and post offices that have locations suppressed in Pokemon Go and Wizards Unite, presumably due to public safety concerns. It's possible your town did not want people clogging the town hall area who did not have business reasons to be there.

@Glimmermir , I'd say their database is a little bit behind. I play Ingress there are portals in Ingress but nothing corresponding in HP:WU. One that I remember distinctly was a portal I submitted that was a map of the town. It is a portal but there is nothing in HP:WU. That struck me as odd.

It's not an instant synchronization. They do periodic updates. The last one I know of was July 11 and brought in new portals from the last couple months.

Also, keep in mind that the mechanic that transforms the POI of Ingress into POI in PoGO and HP:WU are different.

That means that some POI might be ommitted from migration due to POI-density in the region.
