@DIMorse no. You only have a chance to recharge your charms from exploration chests (the regular family ones). Challenge and brilliant chests don't do it.
There is a potion skill, 4 down on the right, called “Was Mundungus Here” which offers 4 sets of Extimulo potion trace/combat effect lessons at (34FG+6MM) per set. Does the word “extimulo”, in this instance, refer to ALL extimulo potions or only the basic level extimulo potion?
@AvadaKadavra125 You should return the new traces before returning the one you cast the trace charm on, save that one for last or else the other traces disappear.
@Radicaldav Thanks so much for this tip! I’ve had so many Trace Charm traces disappear on me, even when I am careful to avoid the original trace.
I usually avoid restarting my app because once I leave the WiFi of my home, I have to get a couple of miles from my house before I have service strong enough to start the app.
I just cast the Trace Charm on a Quidditch Fan Hermione hoping to get more of her, and it gave me 4 Fawkes instead, which is also good. However I went into the first one, it departed and they all disappeared. So I took your advice and restarted the app and they were all back! It was great!
I just want to check if anyone else has been having this issue.
Before the SOS training came in I used to get Extravagant Spell Energy and Extravagant Runestone gifts fairly regularly from Inns and the Knight Bus. Regularly enough at least that I could give them to my friends who give Extravagant gifts - only about five people (I keep my friend list low to manage it better, only have about thirty in total).
But since the SOS training went live I haven’t received any and I have spent some resources on the SOS training section to get ‘increased chance’ of receiving these gifts.
Have others been receiving them? Am I just suddenly extremely unlucky?
It is low-key stressing me out because I don’t want to open any gifts I have waiting without having some to return.
@Cmdsd I have some upgrades on extravagant and essential rune stone gifts and I get A LOT of them now. More than half of the runestone gifts I get are extravagant or essential.
The spell energy gifts however? I used to get a decent amount of extravagant SE gifts, enough to give some to my 'best' friends during events. Now I think I've had two since the update and the rest are all normal SE gifts.
Ok cool. At least I know people are getting them now. I have gotten zero. So I don’t know if it is bad luck or maybe I haven’t upgraded what I need. But I would have to say that the SOS training has reduced rather than increased my chance of getting anything.
@hpwulola I never received an answer about whether the Restricted Section Books will be used in the next Combat Lesson plan, or if one is going to be added soon or is far down the road. I am very hesitant to use them on SOS lessons without having some idea of whether they will be vital to progressing in Combat Lessons any time soon. I really would like to get some of the SOS lessons that require them, but I’ve been holding off until I have more info. Any information on this? Thanks!
A small, but nagging problem. Could the red dot that indicates that one would be able to buy a SOS assignment be moved to the SOS button? I am saving up for a big buy, so I am not getting my notifications on potions, family runestones to be collected, and placing foundables. The red dot is on continuously.
Hmmm, I am not sure why I am having so much trouble getting a response about when or if Restricted Section Books will be needed for future Combat Lessons. I asked @hpwulola about it on July 31 and August 8 in this thread but haven't received a reply to either. I understand that the powers that be may not have an answer but even a response saying that they don't know yet would be helpful, as it would mean I need to figure out what to do without additional information to help me decide.
As I stated in my previous posts, with the limited number of RSBs we can collect, I am hesitant to spend them on SOS lessons without knowing if doing so could hinder progressing through any future Combat Lessons that may be introduced. Has anyone else given this any thought? Maybe other players have some advice or speculation about the best way to proceed? Thanks!
@CeruleanGirl I apologize for not seeing your previous questions. At the moment, I do not know whether or not Restricted Section Books will be used for future features so I cannot advise either way.
I have 2/3 lesson (the third require DADA book) but didmt see the extravagant runestone gift but it still giving very often normal runestone and seldom essential one.
Or am i take the wrong node 🤔
I'm curious because recently i got bombarded by extravagant runestones from friends, and kind of difficult to respond in kind.

Can anyone please let me know about the missing link? It's been a week. Ad Infinitum and Herd Immunity. A minor item, but should be fixable.
Once mastering Studious Success, will Brilliant Event Treasure Trunks be able to reward a Trace Spell Charm charge?
@DIMorse no. You only have a chance to recharge your charms from exploration chests (the regular family ones). Challenge and brilliant chests don't do it.
Thank you.
SOS Training: Sect. II, Level 19:

It’s just the basic exstimulo potion, not the strong or potent. Still really useful though.
This SOS lesson here states you have the chance to be awarded a “Spellbook”, can someone please verify what kind of spellbook might be awarded?
Thank you kindly!
Spell books are spell books. They're te red ones from fortress registry pages.
Ahh yes, now that I actually read-read it, they are the extravagant spell book gifts. Duh! Thank you!
Thanks Dewin99. Have you found an upgrade Like this that applies to all extimulo potions or are they all type specific?
@Specialivy They’re all separate (type specific) unfortunately.
Oh. Apart from brew time reduction! CE2 “Abrasive Advice”.
I used trace charm on Quidditch harry potter , and 4 willows popped up, but after i was done casting spell on harry, the willows were gone.

A GPS drift seems to also wipe away the traces. @Klc5048 @AvadaKadavra125
I too had the extra traces disappear but restarted the app and they returned.

Where /what are the “in game” sources for DADA books?
@Hyperbaricus So far, brilliant events.

I very rarely get extravagant runestone gifts even before the SoS skills. Now at least I get more essentials.
For extravagant energy... I get about the same amount.
My wife on the other hand gets plenty of extravagant runestone but hardly any extravagant energy. Even before the SoS skills.
Mind you, this is all purely anecdotal.

thanks @Caeleon and @Zuzanna93 for the info
Hello @hpwulola
I Just reached level 32, but I can't seem to upgrade my skills for some reason... it's blocked.
Thanks
