They look just like the regular acromantula (large spiders) you battle in the fortress; however, when you battle them using the fantastic fauna and flora runestones you get in this event, you earn the brilliant acromantula fragments.
So it is a matter of luck whether you earn them when you use a fantastic fauna and flora runestone, if you don't encounter the acromantula you have to try again. You can, however, earn the brilliant acromantula fragments in ruins level 1 of the fortress, so no need to go higher. Battling a common acromantula will do. I got my three in about 5 battles if I recall correctly, and I think I may have used a mix of ruins level 1 and 3. Some players have been unlucky enough to have to battle 12 or more times to get their 3 fragments.
I have the same issue. I have placed everything except the brilliant acromantula. I have done 20 battles with the proper rune but not luck. It only gives me fire crabs.

i used 4 brilliat rune stone and got nothing while got all 3 using fantastic fauna and flora runestone

Nothing to do with Fortress Challenges!
In order to place the first page (Brilliant Forbidden Forest) you need to do it in this order:
Must be done in order (Salamander - Tree Stump - Snargaluff - Acromantula).
So if you want to place a Tree Stump you must have the Salamander at 1/1.
If you want to place a Snargaluff you must have both the Salamander and the Tree Stump at 1/1.
If you want to place an Acromantula you must have both the Salamander and the Tree Stump at 1/1 and the Snargaluff at 3/3.
