Is there any update to the changes caused to the difficulty level of catching foundables since the update? It's making the current event extremely hard to complete and causing us all to use a lot of potions we would not have needed to use of this was resolved
@Pageypie It is a visual bug. It doesn't actually make things harder to return.
@Bentiger I recognize that it has been alleged to be a visual bug, and that it shouldn't actually make things harder to return. However, that has not been my play experience. I am encountering far more resists and departures than I did prior to the "visual bug" starting. Ginny Weasleys were a simple one cast capture, no potions, before, with only the occasional departure. Now they can often take a half dozen or more casts and result in frequent departures, as they would if the "visual bug" is actually representing the difficulty of the trace.
The same is true for the visual display for every trace. I have nearly 55,000 traces captured, so although I can't present actual data, I would submit that my estimation of trace difficulty is not completely uninformed.
If this is officially being passed off as a "visual bug" then it seems that the new SOS training, at least with regards to trace capture, is not actually new skills, but forcing players to purchase our way back to what we had before. As my mastery has increased, traces are gradually approaching a level that is more familiar in terms of difficulty.
The potion brewing, trunk and gift enhancement, and field charms (most especially trace) are new and wonderful additions to the game. I do find myself resentful of having to purchase all of my old mastery however.
This game was far more enjoyable before the hair- brained SOS Training ‘ scheme’.
Regarding the changing ratings in Challenge/Fortresses, the glitch seems to happen when I update new SOS training points. After that, my challenge rating for the profession I happen to be in goes down. It does work to switch professions, and switch back if you want. But it's the updating SOS that it happens.
