Potter’s Calamity Brilliant Event

I decided I would go ahead and set up of thread to talk about this event coming up. That way, we can include any tips or tricks needed for this event.
I am so excited that we already have another event, and know that the next one will be two weeks from now. This makes me feel like we may have enough events to keep us busy, and to give us restricted section books.

Once every 2 weeks is even better than expected. The right flow of Restricted Book and even for multiple professions. The event itself is calm enough to play it casually but still gives great rewards if you grind it. Perfect
Already cleared my schedule for this evening!

So... How do we tell apart the Brilliant Portkeys from the previous event from the Brilliant Portkeys of this event?
I’m hoping the portkeys are the same... I still have one left I haven’t put a key in.

@Skoegul The portkeys from the last brilliant event should work for this brilliant event too. The portkeys should not be any different .
The 7km portkeys should only give items for the event they were picked up during. For instance if you somehow had a Flora and Fuana it should transport you to the Forbidden Forest. Not sure where the HP ones go yet but I have 3 cooking!
So I guess it will like christmas, because I had one left from flora and fauna and have no idea which one I just keyed!😂😂
I had a few 7km portkeys left over from the Flora and Fauna event. I opened them today and got HP trunk foundables from them. It was still the Forbidden Forest.

This is the first event I've been able to participate in from the beginning. I'm still in the process of learning the game and I'm having trouble with the 'Return 3 Hogwarts School Family Foundables'. How/where do I find these? Help!

So I got the Weasley Sweater from the towers using the Harry Potter's Calamity runes. Not sure if we gt anything else from the towers. I have one 7 km and one 2km portkey unlocking. I am low on keys and hight on 2km. Can we manage them like we do potion ingredients in the vaults or not?
I believe it was 3 legends of Hogwarts on that task list. So the beige H traces. It took me a few hours to find mine. I don’t have a flagged area for that family nearby. If you do, hit that up. Otherwise, put on your walking shoes.

@Glitchie13 if it’s like the first event, the brilliant portkeys will give you fragments of one item and the fortresses with brilliant runestone used will give you fragments of another item (the sweater as you noted). With the portkeys, if you don’t have enough of the brilliant ones, the only thing I know of is to open and use the ones you have (any kind) to make room for new ones. They always spawn for me when I HAVE Empty spots. If you’re low on keys, you might just have to use your gold key on those 2km portmanteaus and get to walking to open them one at a time. Save some of your silvers for the brilliant ones. Fyi, in case you aren’t there yet. The fourth task list requires unlocking 4 portmanteaus (any kind). So if you’re short on keys, you might wait until you get to that list.
Regarding Portkeys: it is not as straightforward as it would seem. I had 3 portkeys turning from around the time of the last event. I've been sitting on them, unlocked but not redeemed until today, to make sure I got portkeys from this event. I opened all 3 of them at around 6:30 pm PDT, and 2 of them opened onto the Forbidden Forest, and gave me Flora & Fauna XP and the last 2 Snargaluff pieces I had been missing. Was super stoked, as it filled out my F&F registry, but it seems to go against the experiences written here, and one of the admin replies to a question about F&F portkeys post-event.
Eek, sorry, the third list was more fresh on my mind... and the legends of hogwarts item was more of a pain. The first list does require “Return 3 Hogwarts School Foundables.” That’s the red 9 3/4 trace. The third list requires “Return 3 Legends of Hogwarts Family Foundables.” Those are the tan H traces. Sorry for confusion!

Has anyone had any problem getting the Weasley sweater from wizard challenges. I used about 10 runestones and only gotten two. My wife hasn't gotten any yet.
@DosEl yes. I believe there’s another thread on this topic. I’ve struggled getting the sweater as well.
I had to do 6 challenges to get all the fragments for the Weasley sweater.
Right now I have gotten 2 fragments from 4 fights...all done in Tower I.
A bit of good news for you all - when you get to the Special Assignment where you have to get 3 "High Foundables" and 2 "Brilliant Quidditch Captain HP" foundable fragments? If you get a HP foundable, you'll get "High Foundable" credit at the same time. So, a 2-for-1 deal.
