Just loaded up a brain elixir and hopped on the knight bus. The game crashed as I entered forest 2 with 3 other players. :(
Then I also got the loop of unable to connect/ restart. Even rebooted phone and tried to join via data instead of wifi... at that point figured it was a server issue, thanks for everyone who kept this thread updated :)
Fortunate to know I'm in good company.
Just gonna sit here and twiddle my wand until gameplay is restored.
So how has everyone enjoying the event otherwise? I'd managed to find Dumbledore and am hoping for a few more Ginny's than I've seen so far.
@ParrishBlue when the game comes back up pop a TTD and you should get a ton of Ginny’s. I think I got 12 of them. It appears I am only getting on Dumbledore per TTD so not impressed with that.
@ClairabusGryff Yeah, it's interesting how spawns differ with TTD. I was in the last 10 min of my 2nd TTD when I hopped on KB. I'd had a mass of Hedwig and a lot of non LOH traces and so with this potion, so I decided to head on the KB so to not waste the elixir. Well, best intentions. 😅
Still not able to get back in, 4 hours now. Btw, if you use the trace charm on Dumbledore, you might get more. Helps if you level up aspects of the trace charm. I have got 5 emergency traces out of one, and two fragments per since I have unlocked that too. Also, refill upgrade from treasure box is awesome! Cant wait to play more.
Hey guys :) just thought I'd share that the bug thread seems to be really overwhelmed, and I'm not sure if the temp fix is working for everyone.
Hopefully we can be nice about the fix requests... after all they are trying to give us some help while they work out the bigger issue. :)
Edit: There are reports that the server bug that makes you unable to load/log into the game can also be triggered by entering fortresses on the map as well as through the Knight bus. FYI
@Danel399 Dumbledore can be found in a Legends of Hogwarts trace that has a red beam of light coming out of the top. Similar to this:
I had to draw the red since I don't have one near me now.
To find this you can try using a tonic of trace detection potion, or if you can safely go to an inn and add 3 dark detectors, you will also have a chance of finding Dumbledore.
Sometimes during an event you can just come upon rare traces while you are out walking, it is lucky though.

I do hope they extend the time for this event since there is no way to complete it without using the fortress. Can´t complete the daily assignments so bye bye to those too.
@Kodokmag they announced after the update that trace threat levels were bugged, it's not supposed to be severe is it? There's a lot of common traces appearing as high/very high with no yellow fume.

@EowynRio I hope so the game loaded the sound and asked GPS permission but then the dreaded restart button...
Again. Previously it did not even load the sound after reinstall.
Maybe the pixies are being rounded up so it will open soon...unless it was the Erklings... That might take a bit longer to repair. ;)
@Alieana Mine didn't load at all. It was stuck in the load, crash, restart,reload, crash, restart loop.

Has the Knight Bus issue been fixed? I joined a Tower battle and got the error message and now I can’t login to HPWU.
Is it only knight bus? Local fortress?
I am not able to login to the game at all right now. And haven’t been able to for over an hour or so. I have done everything in my bag of tricks.

It still is not working. I have been locked out for awhile now.

Game crashed on me at 7:10pm EDT. Can’t get back in to leave a bug report. Lost the remaining time on my tonic and brain elixir.

@Vornado I agree that the Wizarding Weekend should be extended, there is a precedent that they have done so in the past.
Edit: Just read the posts where lots can’t even log in any more - wow, that’s really bad. I hope this gets resolved soon.

Just got back in after being kicked out last night, lasted about a minute before crashing and now stuck on loop again.
