@hpwulola I see the minimum requirement to retrieve these new rewards of Ministry Books is having bronze pages to place images. Does that mean we will not get these from placing images on the event pages? Or should we hold on to our 5/5 tentacle and place it only after the update? :-)

@BenTiger Are you saying 5pm today?

@FredjeFlitser Lola has said that placing brilliant items won't work for the new books. Also, challenge pages need to be at bronze, but any item placed in an exploration page will work.

    2.14 is rolling out!

Note from the release notes: "The 2.14.0 Update will introduce a significant addition to Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, SOS Training. The feature will be rolling out a later time and will be unavailable with the 2.14.0 release."

Kind of a let down after the update. When can we actually expect this to be available? Can we start collecting the other items now at least?

@Kodokmag in the thread about the update @hpwulola said that scores would be adjusted and make more sense once SOS training was live

Downloaded the update, Most new features unavailable until 8pm EST.

    Some cool new graphics:

Wizarding Challenges open right away when clicking on a chamber.

@hpwulola how does the appraisal number work in regards to Wizarding Challenges?

The new clock placement in foundables is also a nice touch.

@RabbeinuTam Similar to how the previous levels worked, it advises players where you are skill level in comparison to that Wizarding Challenge.

When SOS Training is released, we have an additional blog to share that goes into details about this.

I read that there will be the possibility to win some of the new books when prestiging a family page. Can I prestige directly after the update and have a chance to get something or should I wait until the SOS training is live?

@hpwulola Just want to get some clarity on the above quesion regarding prestiging pages now. Will we get the new books now or should we hold off on prestiging the pages?

    Thanks

@Celtic67 I would advise holding off until SOS Training feature is live.

You will not get Ministry Manuals for placing images before the feature is live.

@hpwulola I’m sorry if you’ve already answered this... I did read through the entire thread and I may have missed it but I am still confused as to if the new SOS lessons are in addition to new future lessons in the individual professions or instead of them.

@CeruleanGirl The SOS Training lessons are it's own feature! They are separate and do not impact Professions lessons.

@WitchHiker Y'know, I recommend looking at both ;) I think my insights are my insights, filtered through how I see the game, how I enjoy and play the game, which I think is different for different people. I am interested in hearing your insights too. I do think the professions are quite different and play quite differently. Different focuses on Strategic Spells vs Spell Casting, which then are different depending on whether one is soloing or grouping.

I know that I feel most comfortable doing 5 Wizard Dark Vs as a Magizoo, partially since I have most experience with it, but also because Strategic Spells are actually used. Also, I appreciate being able to vanquish those Spiders for the group. I know how beastly they can be for Professors and Aurors!

I am also hesitant to get myself into the possible Paralysis by Analysis of Which Debuff to Which Enemy in the Dark V intensity! Really I just see it as being a reflection of my mind. I always tend towards the turn based strategy games rather than real time. Where do you land in that?

@hpwulola is the increased depart, dissolve rate of traces on purpose because of the new skills? I am seeing at least 20 a day for the last three days.

    It's very discouraging.

    Thanks

I just noticed that my friends’ levels are showing “0” under the “friends” tab.

The friends that haven't moved to the new update will still show up as 0 for their appraisal number.

We have to wait until everyone has gone through the update before they open the changes on the server side of things.

Appraisal numbers for professors shift due to the potions taken and the buff given, so if you are a professor and see your numbers go up and down, that's probably why. This doesn't seem to happen for aurors or magizoologists.

No clue what the friends list blue hexagon with the zero is about. We will have to wait and see when they turn on the servers.

@Bormacska Auror and Magi numbers are not effected by potions, because Professors have passive skills that are activated by the number of buffs currently active.

If you have three potions active, that counts as three buffs, so a Professor using Trace Tonic, Baruffio's, and a Dawdle Drought, all your passives will activate, and you will have a new high max.

Magi have a score over 1M, since their passive activated when they have 5+ focus. Unless they are actively in a fortress, using their focus, they will always have 5 focus, thus the higher score.

Aurors have no passive skills, so their scores remain unchanged.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm absolutely stoked by the fact that the "delayed entry into the fortress chambers" bug has finally been resolved (at least for me). I'm willing to wait for the new training.

I also reserve the right to complain in a day or two that it hasn't appeared yet. 😁

@FireWanderer Yes! Used to take 15+ seconds to get into a chamber, thank goodness that bug was resolved.

@BenTiger as professor is my one non-profession, I was using simple language, but yes, exactly as you said. Thanks for the clarification.
