This is an upgrade that will potentialy bring in new players because there is a lot of content for a new player to explore, and makes the game more diverse and more interesting.
If I were a new player I'd be interested in the game, but as a lvl 42 player, 137/137 auror and lvl 14 proff. so someone who has played this game for a while I see this as a slapp in my face... dont get me wrong, new content is appriciated but I really wanted an option to continiue my story the same way I started it which is by getting a new lesson plan to explore.
This is the problem, adding a new lesson plan doesn't mean anything to new players.
They had a year where they should have made more for older players.
I completed prestige all the gold foundables, challenges and mastered all professions. I just play the BE now, brew brain potions and finish daily tasks. I don't play hpwu like before. Maybe with these new features back return to the game. But off corse no spending money to nothing since a lost fragments bug and continues from this way.
@hpwulola You posted a comment on Discord saying that more content and a timeline would be coming this week, and also a FAQ. Why didn't you also post that comment here? People have been asking if more content will be released but nobody has answered. Is the 'more content' just further info on what has been announced, or extra content that hasn't been announced yet?
I also don't understand why all the info wasn't released at the same time. The partial info has caused a lot of questions and it's quite annoying rather than fun that we have to guess and speculate. WB/Niantic clearly haven't learned the most important lesson from past mistakes - communication.
I saw it mentioned earlier in this thread that we shouldn't place items in the registry that we fill until after this new update.
Does this apply to all images that are finished or just ones that are being finished on that version of the page (reg, bronze, silver) for the first time (it doesn't have a green star next to it yet)? What about an item that is finished on a gold page?
I see a lot of questions about the new currency! SOS Training Books are resources that can be used to unlock additional enhancements from SOS Training Lessons. As you continue on your adventure and explore the Map, you'll obtain SOS Training Books by returning Traces, completing event tasks, or placing Images in the Registry. There are four kinds of collectible SOS Training Books:
Get Field Guides for returning Traces that you encounter on the Map. High threat Traces yield greater Field Guide rewards and are more likely to reward Field Guides than low threat Traces.
Get Ministry Manuals by placing non-Mysteries Images in the Registry. Players must also Prestige Challenges Family pages and update their frames to bronze or better before placing Images on those pages can reward Ministry Manuals.
Restricted Section Books and Defense Against the Dark Arts Books are rare SOS Training Books. You can get these items by completing in-game event tasks that reward them.
I’ve completed both the magi and professor lesson trees and have done all the lessons in Auror that require scrolls or red books.
I’ll have to decide whether to use restricted books to complete auror or use them for the new type lessons. I’ll probably do the latter..
It’s disappointing that I’ll have to wait until new lessons are added to the profession trees to use those accumulated scrolls and red spell books, since that may be a long time

How is Departure Denial different from using Dawdle Draft?
As a Level 47 Completed Prof, it’s frustrating to have 3/4 Strong Exstim remaining, a Masterful cast on Ebublio, and the High Foundable departs on that first cast. Are you prepping us to want this new stuff? Cuz the psychology behind the tease isn’t working. I’m less inclined to play if my efforts and use of hard-earned products are not rewarded, but wasted.
@Smyrna38 anything that we earn from lessons has been permanent so far? potions are not? Hopefully they will have a multiplierr effect :) so they seem similar, but are not exactly same :)
SOS Training includes a brand new skill tree, which is separate from the current Professions Skill tree. There are no new Professions lessons in this update. However, could happen down the line!
@hpwulola 'Could happen down the line' doesn't sound encouraging at all! I wish the team had just told us ages ago that new profession lessons weren't coming. There's no way you've all missed the comments and questions for the last few months. Please change the 'coming soon' to 'coming eventually.'
From the comments I'm sure you realise that people are frustrated and fed up of waiting for information and new content. The problem with the announced features is that I have no reason to grind for new currencies to complete lessons that give me skills to make it easier to get things I don't need. 🤷♀️ Without new content (e.g. new foundables, new foes etc.) I don't need the boosted potions, spenergy or less resistance/departure. Soon I'll have nothing I need to get, even though I've slowed down and haven't played as much recently.
I'm really hoping we'll at least get a timeline for when new content is coming (even if it's not with this update) because I'm losing my motivation to play and it's just not as fun anymore.
This might sound redundant, but how soon can we expect the update?
In anticipation for wizarding weekends and the like, i usually start to fill the page(s) of the family headlining the event so as to A) be closer to prestiging the page and B) be able to collect family xp if needed.
Since this announcement i haven't reset any images that i fully collected so that i can get some Ministry Manuals.

I got my first DADA books. They are yellow and have chains like the restricted books. I must say I am excited to see them.
Are the DADA books the only of the new currencies currently available or can I get Ministry Manuals by placing images now?

Which task give the new book? There were no task update to look into. 😬😵
@Kodokmag It's the reward for the fourth part of the brilliant event. The one you can claim when you've finished the single tasks of part four.
Finishing the bonus assignment will reward some as well.
