Friends can help you take down fortresses. At the 5th chamber I was stuck, unable to advance. I teamed up with someone 4 levels below me and we were abke to pass the 5th chamber on our 1st try. You get more charms to use with multiple players. If you use them right you can severely weaken your opponents and get through quicker.
