@Cassasauresrex I'm a maxed Professor. It's cruel on the map against oddities. Another reason I am thinking about adding Auror to my witch's resume.
My tween son plays and is an Auror. whispers :we have traded phones to play each other in fortress battles with just the 2 of us.
He wants me to complete Auror tree and he wants to take up magi after he masters Auror (he's 14th level)
A good magi's and professor team mate will never let or make Aurors take on spiders (unless they are squishes-more on that in a moment. For Professors we don't go any where near dark wizards as it is much the same (unless we are invincibility-more to follow)
Work on battling your preferred class 1st then neutrals and negatives only as a last resort.
Now squishes ( foes under 50% stamina)... maxed Aurors have a buff they are more effective against foes under 50% stamina. So in a creature heavy board (a well trained team or a team with communication) Professors and magi will work the foes down to under 50% then leave that foe as an easier **** for an Auror team mate if there are not any DE or DW for you. Works best if your shielded. Also strategy on a creature heavy board is Aurors can (with or without a potent exstimulo) go in take 1 shhot and leave (leave before foes strikes you) Team mate jumps in either finishes it off or battles until foe's stamina is under 50% and moves to the next foe- Depends on how many foes and how much time is left.
Invincibility:from@MtPollux because his summary was best and simplest!
Re invincibility for professors: you need your shield plus one more enhancement (there is no added bonus for having 3 enhancements). The foe also needs two impairments. That is enough in most cases for a maxed professor to be immune to damage. If you are fighting a foe who has defense breach (werewolf or dark wizard) then one of the impairments needs to be confusion, otherwise their defense breach allows them to still cause damage to you.
So there are too many DE or DW or not enough Auror or enough time I will take PE look for the foe that I will have invincibility with battle on!
@Cassasauresrex I know what you mean. That is frustrating at the end when whoever is supposed to take that last foe just sits there. Sometimes, depending on the circumstances, I will hop in, hit the foe once, and hop back out, hoping to get the point across of “it’s yours, go ahead and take it!”
I’m also guilty of passive aggressively using my zero focus +4 stamina on them every 5 seconds so their name lights up again and again like “helloooo this one is yours!”
Reading all this has been really helpful!! Thank you @Owlx for the clear answers, I finally get the gist of things in a better way now. And for the tip on the lesson- I may have already done it but if not il make sure i do it now!
Thanks of course also to @MtPollux for that clear description of invincibility & how that works. Now i just need to learn the new symbols so I can tell what hex/charm is cast on what! Lol
And thanks to @Cassasauresrex for asking just the right questions that I was wonder about so this thread has been fab now to help me be brave and give the new profession a go 😊

@MrSciGuy I’ve definitely done that.
