@hpwulola Can you also update us on if there is a chance of us getting a proper make-good solution, rather than the gifts that don't even come close to covering 1% of many players losses?
There are many of us struggling to re-gather lost fragments, before each of the events, so that we can progress in pages. This task is made more difficult to us, due to the heavy cost of potions, Dark Detectors, and runestones.
By providing no response and no fair reimbursement for our losses, Niantic/WB is teetering on the edge of losing many of the players that have put in a lot of time over the last year. They are also losing out on a lot of revenue that they could be earning, since many of those who were effected refuse to spend any more money on a game, when it has now been proven that all their progress has a high chance to be lost with no reimbursement for the losses.
btw, don’t know if this is related to gift pack or not, but there is a red dot on suitcase gearbox indicating that new assets are available to be downloaded ... relatively small in size, so perhaps it is for the graphics when the gift pack becomes live and people then tap to collect ... really hope they don’t blow up our vaults in the process! again, strongly suggest taking screenshots of your vaults before collecting the ****-money gift pack.
@carbonyl Management doesn't communicate directly to players. It is easier for them to ignore suggestions from people they pay to read player input, than to receive thousands of complaints personally.
@hpwulola@HPWUTeam If you even mention the loss of fragments in in-game support tickets, they just respond with the same copy/paste generic answer. They don't even make an attempt to answer any questions any more! Where is the support? The complete lack of any response is just making the issue even worse! If you look through the posts here, there are many people that want actual answers and an actual decent compensation, not a "make-good" gift that barely scratches the surface of the damage caused by the "fixes".
Also, in-game support claims that the May 19th gift and the May 8/9 gift are both Make-good gifts, but the first one was labeled as a apology gift, for the first failed "fix", coupled with the delay for any response on if an attempt would even be made to "fix" the issue.
Everyone knows that you have chosen not to try another fix! We are past trying to get fragments back. We just want the ability to re-earn at least some of what was lost. To do that, we need an actual gift with a fair amount of items that will allow us to do that! These **** gifts that only help in obtaining maybe 45 total fragments does not make up for losing well over 5k fragments (close to 10k lost for me)!
when the fragments and green stars wrongfully taken away get returned, even if they have to be returned manually one player at a time, then there will be much rejoicing and more positive uplift than this forum will ever see
In principle it would be wrong to give everyone green stars on everything as some have not earned them and many of us killed ourselves to get everything we earned.....but, at this point, if this is what it takes to get the green stars I worked for I would begrudgingly accept even that. I want the green stars back. 50 more Doxies, are you kidding me? Especially since severe and emergency foundables now pop up at literally every intersection with a traffic light. It took me almost a year to place Dumbledore. Hours just riding around in my car looking for them.
@HPWUblue How come you and your team can take the time to censor posts, but can't take the tame to answer questions that might help alleviate some of the damage caused by the fixes?
Probably because, as you yourself have already personally stated @BenTiger, they are limited (with this issue in particular) of what they can say about it. I don’t think it’s up to them. Is that the right approach? No, but it is what it is.
Plus they’ve already told us A) that we’re not getting our stars and fragments back, and B) what the compensation gift contains. You just don’t like the answer. But they have answered, and they’re not going to continue to repeat said answer just because you want more. (And now I circle back to my first point about being limited).

Many people have given up on asking the same questions to a wall... but they have also requested that someone keep pressing the subject. I don't mind being the proverbial bad guy and asking over and over, until it forces a response.
@BenTiger - After repeated requests from several people the answer remains the same, asking the same question is different ways isn’t going to elicit a different response...

I wish they could at least get on the same page with that information instead of us having to sit around and wait and guess. I don't even care about the fragments/stars anymore since they already said they can't fix it without messing stuff up more, and tbh I'm grateful cause I've already had to recatch things three times now. I stacked energy thinking it'd be yesterday so I could go do a high chamber but nope.

From Niantic/WB's point of view, this topic is over. After all, the issue was addressed and "solved".
So, to whoever lost hundreds/thousands of fragments from their incompetence, have fun with a pack that has NOTHING that you lost.

Ignore the lack of proper response, the lack of dedicated support, the lack of communication skills, the lack of proper management during a crisis.
