I'm so confused. I only played in Early days of both ingress and Pokemon go. No such thing existed called this back then...I only ask because everyone keeps asking for it in hpwu and I have no idea why?

Ingress had that in early days it was just called passive or something allowed it to count distance walked in background...
I think there should be a hpwu widget that alerts you when near ins in notification and let's you walk to open portkeye.
