I'm pretty sure we will all be going to concerts pretty soon. Even if weirder ones, wearing concert themed facemasks or at drive in concerts. And I'm pretty sure you will be seeing your sisters even sooner. And all that will make you way more happier than a game. You just keep that in mind. Because it will, I am sure of that, be very soon. Take care of yourself, from one quarantined to another :)
"our support tools do not allow us to modify your fragments"?!?!?!?
I read about people here who have regained their green stars and everything. So why not mine?? I played hardcore the last few weeks because of the lockdown here in the Netherlands...
@dRomers They used a script to recover foundable fragments... if you read any of the posts here, you will notice that you are not the only one who is still missing fragments. I for one lost thousands on the 7th and thousands more on the 27th.
@DarkLordofDance No ETA, No communication. We have basically been abandoned, since the programmers don't know what they screwed up and are not updating @hpwulola, so she can update us.
@dRomers - I lost 500 fragments on ONE PAGE. So yeah, thousands. Some of us have been playing daily since launch. I play so much the game has burned into my phone screen, I can still see my buttons while using other apps and that will never go away but I didn't care because I loved the game so much. I mean, I was a chaperone on my daughter's field trip and I was playing on the bus, showing a group of her friends how to play and offering to add them to my friends list to send them gifts! Now it's a glaring reminder that Niantic doesn't care one bit about their players.
Ok... since the programmers obviously can't fix what they broke... then broke again. Here is a solution. Run a script to check the number of fragments missing (actually two linked scripts, since you need to calculate May 7 losses, then May 27). Award players 2 skill books for every 75 challenge fragments missing, then 3 Dark Detectors, 1 random runestone, and 50 coins for every 50 family fragments missing. Then we can use the Dark Detectors to try and re-earn some of the foundables lost, while replenishing energy with the coins.
NOTE: I suggested Dark Detectors over Trace Tonics, because Trace Tonics tend not to bring many severe and emergency foundables and those are the ones that hurt most to be missing.
This suggestion would result in us having to spend a lot of time re-earning lost foundables, but at least it beats the current situation of waiting around not knowing if we will recover any of our losses.
I, too, lost countless amounts of fragments and green stars. I was ready to prestige my pages during this weekends event, but now I’m not even sure I want to play. What’s the point if things are disappearing at the drop of a hat?
I know it’s just a game, but it’s frustrating to see all that hard work gone in a split second. I work in healthcare and this game has been my outlet lately. So disappointing.
I wasn't expecting a full resolution today, and anyone who was needs their optimism reined in. I get that this is now a very complicated issue due to there being several groups of people who have been affected in very different ways. However, a little more acknowledgement from the staff would be appreciated. Even just another 'we're looking at it' update would be nice.
Hey everyone, thank you for all your patience. I apologize but I do not have an update on the situation quite yet. We are reading every one of your comments and completely understand your frustration with this. We will provide another update next week after the team has had more time to look into solutions.
why would @hpwulola take the time to edit / censor posts #765-#767 above within the last hour but not take the time to end the radio silence from official @hpwuteam ?
@hpwulola thanks for the update and letting us know that we are completely screwed for the entire weekend event, since no progress will be made with correcting the issue, over the weekend.
I (WinterGoose) got my fragments back but my wife (SpringChickene) didn't. We both started playing around the same time and both lost fragments in the prestige. I woke up and my fragments were back, and 4 days and she has seen nothing. Why would this have happened?
@hpwulola WHAT. IS. THIS. Niantic is BARKING MAD if they think yet another brilliant event is the answer after all this! They need to DELAY ALL EVENTS until this is fixed!!! They have time, right now -today!!!- to put out a notice and delay the event. There is ZERO excuse to put out another event and *every* reason to delay it.
@hpwulola thanks for the update! I guess it crazy on your ends as well. So I hope you people figure something out soon, for everyone's sake.
However, I hope you folk realise that only a few will enjoy this weekend event and manage to achieve something out of it. Most of the people are not going to make any progress and would be demoralized even to play this event. I sure know that I am.. no stars, no fragments, no point.
Good luck @HPWUTeam . We hope you solve this issue soon.
Yes, @hpwulola please PLEASE ask to delay the upcoming brilliant event until the team can solve this problem. It’s enough that many of us are already skipping the weekend event because we don’t want even more lost/wasted time & progress if we have to be reset to before the 27th; we don’t want to also end up with a blank brilliant page because we can’t play the event out of fear of affecting whatever fix is released. At this point I’d settle for not getting my rollover frags from May 7, I just want my stars back so I can keep playing 😢
Kind of unfortunate the fix is not occurring until next week. A number of players including myself cannot prestige some of the Sports pages since we lost all the uncommons that were maxed previously and can't collect enough of them over the weekend to restar them. Losing Goblet of Fire, Luna, Seamus, and Neville basically means you cannot prestige either Triwizard Maze or Quidditch Stands during the event since you can't realistically return enough of them in three days. Basically nullifies the event for the affected players.
Comments
@hpwulola @HPWUrobert are you seriously not gonna tell us anything before the weekend? Not a word?
I'm so sorry @alienkarissa

@hpwulola and @HPWUrobert
I got an answer from a Brynn K in the support.
"our support tools do not allow us to modify your fragments"?!?!?!?
I read about people here who have regained their green stars and everything. So why not mine?? I played hardcore the last few weeks because of the lockdown here in the Netherlands...
Please, try again.

I still have not received back any fragments that I caught between May 7th and now. What's the ETA on getting that fixed (if ever)?
130 snitches seen. Standard prestige 7/9. It is so annoying!
@DarkLordofDance No ETA, No communication. We have basically been abandoned, since the programmers don't know what they screwed up and are not updating @hpwulola, so she can update us.
I really don’t envy Lola having to deal with this, as this will for sure drag on over the weekend and into next week...
@DarkLordofDance I noticed, yes.
And really? Thousands?? Wow..... That sucks more than my hundreds... I hope they will find a solution for us..
@HPWUrobert / @hpwulola
Update would be amazing. Thanks!

@LionessMolly wow...
And it's true, we are just ****** who are paying the paycheck, but who cares..?!? Not them by the looks of it.
@dRomers Oh my god I am dying. It censored me when I said "c r a p" so I edited it out but you can say ***** 🤣🤣 I can't, this is ridiculous.
@LionessMolly I noticed that too!! Loved it!
But still, we are the ******* that pay the paycheck, and still no update.
Ps. I'm going to use that word in every post from now on, just to ***** (can say ******* but not this 🤣) with them!
It's cracking me up! 😘

I'm another one who lost most of my green stars. One day they were there, the next, they were gone. ☹️
@Mkhaxton At this point I agree, forget May 7. Just give my stars from the 27th back and I'll be happy.
Same generic response others are likely getting from in-game support tickets.

@Lordnameci I am in that boat for both pages... but the "fix" fails could not stop me from this
